Buy this game if you enjoy dinosaurs and fancy mods. Its expensive, but honestly.. worth the buck.
That said the game needs some revamping here and there, but oh man has the optmitization/configuration improved. New dinosaurs/creatures are always being added into the mix, and its really damn rewarding to get into the world. Similar to the game many of us know as Rust, the major difference is the special beenfits, creatures and expansion packs.
Obviously a more cheesy way to enjoy the game's content, is to use cheats to spawn in certain creatures that may or may not be a massive pain in the ass to tame. However, the diversity, the quirky and unique items/tools that you can have, its so worth the pain.

If you're like me though, or any other sane human being, you would avoid the massive multiplayer servers. Why you may ask?
Because the community might be relatively friendly, but on a public server its supposedly hell. You can get raided, robbed and basically anything that happens on Rust. Except everyone has dinosaurs, so its extremely unfair if you tried to fight back. Not going to mention the fact that there's a fair deal of sneaky little ♥♥♥♥♥ that backstab you, or the agony you will go through to accomplish whatever goals you have in mind.
You also fall unconcious when you leave, so your crap isnt safe.

Nevertheless, its a good game and you should still get it. A private server with some good friends is suggested for a fun time.
