The game is excellent and does most things better than the first part. However, I'm not too fond of the new material gathering mechanic and find it annoying.

Other than that, the special effects in the game needs to be turned down a bit. It can be difficult to see the enemies or projectiles especially in the Tartarus and some of the boss fights.
