It provides very little direction. Finding out all the best things happens mostly by accident. Go places because you want to, or you see or hear something interesting. Get lost puttering around on incredible little worlds.

I'm sad to say that I finished it, because it means I'll never be able to play it again the same way.

Echoing a comment I've read. "Don't be sad that it's over, be glad that it happened." Not many games put me back in the same wonder and discovery as when I was little kid in front of an SNES figuring out my first Zelda game.

A great game if you're willing to take your time, smell the pine trees, and not look at walkthroughs. Deservedly GOTY.
