Severely underrated party game, atleast the death race game mode.
Honestly wish that mario kart could have something similar.

I've literally never introduced this to anyone who didnt like it within 20 minutes.

- suuuupersimple controls (1 stick 2 buttons)
- Familiar concept if you've played mario kart (simplified racing with abilities to affect other players)
- Chaotic due to its physicsbased nature.
- obvious wincondition (dont get killed before other players)
- The wincondition with its chaotic nature naturally adds alot of intense moments.

(Disregard my playtime, I've played 50+ hours on switch before buying it on PC).
Probably one of my easiest recommends. This is one of the alltime goats of the roguelite genre. If you've played Hades, this is similar to hades in a sidescroller platforming format, replacing any narrative with gameplay that feels like you're on crack.

The amount of weapons is crazy and the potential power journeys that the player can have is wild. When you're balling, you're balling so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard. Despite its pixellated style, the characters are in 3d, making all motion benefit from higher frame rates. It has also enabled the developers to make a bajillion animations for weapons, resulting in a huge list of unlockable weapons that greatly increases variety and player agency.

The game rewards skill improvement greatly, as your progression speeds up the better you perform. Clearing levels without taking damage under time limits gives you significantly stronger equipment, as well as permanent progression.

The developers have (until now sadge) been supporting this game very well with consistent free content updates. The value of the base game is pretty nuts.
