And no, the guns are not unique. The VMP, the Ballista, the Dragunov, the Locus, the SVG-100; these are iconic guns with personality in past COD games. The entire BO6 armory is comprised of generic guns you'd see in any shooter. None of them stand out like past guns have.
And you can't be defending the maps. Just because of the time zone does not mean the maps should not have personality. Lets compare to BO1, a similar timezone to BO6. Jungle, radiation, summit, OG Nuketown, WMD, Grid, these ALL have personality and anyone who played BO1 would agree. They are all unique in their own way. All having a unique setting, biome, and feel. Every single BO6 map is the same aside from maybe Gala and Skyline. All other maps are "LOOK GUYS!! HAHA!! RUNDOWN CITY!!!"
TL;DR: A lot of the points you make are easily avoidable or just not true and some of them are part of the design because of the time set in the gulf war. BO3 is good but finding a game without cheaters is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
