Democracy is best served with some LIBER-TEA!!!

Best Co-op 3rd Person shooter in a LONG time.

NOTE HOWEVER: SONY (Not the Dev Arrowhead) attempted to faf around and found out. Don't let the Corpo greed soil this game. The userbase rose up and review bombed the game. That was not based on the game itself but SONY'S attempt to pad their earnings calls for PSN.

They brought the best parts of AoE2 and AoE3 together to make an EXCELLENT game.

Best twitch-based shooter since MW2

This game was a let down when I first began, it seemed more actiony when first viewed on the Store page but when you get in it's not nearly such. Regardless, it grew on me as I played and I finally grew to enjoy it. Its 4X properties are decent if not simplistic and the "customization" of Warships boils down to the consistency of the weapons on the same classes of ships. The Custom civs pretty much also to a few bonus changes while you retain the structure of one of the pre made civs. All around it's a simplistic game that's fun but it's not a Sword of the Stars replacement.

It's Free, why not try it? As someone who has a love-hate relationship with VNs, this is on the love side. the gameplay for most of the story is well made and fun to play, both tactical and VN. At the end it becomes just a bit easy with one power in the tactical section breaking the game, but all the same it's still fun. If you aren't a fan of the typical Anime Harem trope, you may want to stay away or at least act as militarily professional as possible in the game. it ends a bit abruptly but from what I can tell, more, FREE, episodes are coming.

7/10 would waifu again

Unless by some miracle of the internet you happen to buy this and not have the multitude of issues that most of the users of this game have experienced, DON'T purchase this game. The concept, from the near 2 hours of play I got through, is sound and seems awesome, but those two hours involved at least 25 crashes of the game for doing simple things like scrolling down a menu or clicking a menu button. Before I could even run the game I had to activate some file in the program files, just to get in. Now most of these issues would probably get fixed by patches right? Well they're done patching it and the Steam version is the latest patch. Star Ruler 2 is coming and I hope that it will be a nonbuggy version of the original, but I'm not exactly holding my breath. Do not buy this game unless you have recently won the lottery or been struck by lightning.
