I actually can't believe that this game is so highly rated. It's worse than AI1 in almost every way and is the worst Uchikoshi game I've ever played. It feels like he felt forced to have a twist, because they're all irrelevant to the story. Every time the game tries to be serious it falls flat on its face. I thought I didn't like AI1 that much but I was PRAYING for Date back so I could have some less painful dialogue. The only thing this game has done successfully is make me like AI1 more in comparison.

I've actually mutated this review into a positive one, you just can't see it.

The best battle royal/extraction shooter I've ever played and the only one I play. The learning curve is more of a cliff but the game is truly worth it, and it is lovely with friends and still fun alone as long as you don't mind keeping your heartrate up.

Abandoned and unfinished. Some baffling choices. Modders might fix it some day but truthfully you'd probably be better of with almost any other XCOM or XCOM-like.

This is one of the most impressive games ever made. The quality of the content and the amount of it makes it 100% worth the asking price, even with the somewhat jank PC port. Do yourself a favor and try this game. It isn't perfect, but it is a masterpiece.

I need to totally scrap my review as the issue I was having preventing progress was immediately fixed by the developers. The game still does have some bugs and a typo or two in the script, but it's an early access game that just came out so I don't think that is unexpected. The combat is a little clunky, I think due to the directional commitment to all of your attacks, but the game is a ton of fun and the card system is an interesting way to do a deck builder that has a ton of promise. I think the game is worth a shot and is almost certain to get better as time goes on.

The most shameless, pathetic monetisation I've ever seen outside of an Asian MMO paired with an inability to search for specific game modes to nickle and dime you for challenge rerolls makes this probably the worst feeling game that actually has fun moment-to-moment gameplay I've ever had the misfortune to experience.
