I see! Thank you! I'm amazed at how difficult movie editing software is (or perhaps that no one has created a really good UI for it yet).

I'm assuming your question was specifically related to recording video of games? It's not hard, if all you want to do is record and post it online. I use Fraps for the recording, which is pretty standard and very easy to use. You can use almost any video program to encode the Fraps files into mpeg, avi, or something suitable for posting online. (Windows Movie Maker is a popular one, since it's free.)

For post-processing, which is where things can get more tricky if you're trying to do transitions, effects, or anything fancy, I've used a bunch of different programs. Lately, though, I've been trying to learn Adobe After Effects and Premiere, since I the creative suite. I'm not good at using either one, yet.

I just noticed that, oh, a year and a half ago you asked if I'd recommend Sequence. I would, actually. It's not a long game, but it's entertaining.
