Ok, First off: I played this game on an M2 PRO MacbookPro, so IT IS SUPPORTED, regardless what Steam says. It's not 32bit (like steam says) and it IS compatible with my Ventura OS 13.5.2 (Steam says it's not compatible with Catalina 10.15 or above).

With that out of the way (BUY AWAY MAC USERS!) it's a simple game, with solid mechanics, it feels rewarding, it's not super challenging, but the gameplay loop even if a bit repetitive is fun and kind of addictive. The game is absolutely CHARMING, music gets old fast but it's good at least. The humor is on point, and not that "I'm a Millennial trying to be funny, get it?" that we see on stuff like Borderlands for example.

Anyway, it is worth the small price (it's less than a hamburger where I live).
There's plenty of fun to be had in a little package, simple to learn, and just very vibrant.

In under one hour I got all the achievements, and got even a bit emotional during two scenes.
I appreciate a lot how this game puts you in the place of Socialist Poland in 1981, it's economic details and how things worked back then. Being from FAR AWAY from Poland, I wasn't aware of so much and this game helps show the life, be it grim or be it hopeful and beautiful that the polish people have endured during the period.

Very nice-but-standard pixel art graphics, but they were pleasant enough.
For the price of 0 I think everyone could spend an hour in it and feel what the artist who did this was trying to show and tell us.

To the regular person? No.
I like this game, but to be honest with you, you kind of need an ESO PLUS membership, it's a big deal, otherwise your inventory management/capacity will really suffer.

Now,why do I like this game? Well, I'm a sucker for LORE, so if you're like me and been around since the days of Morrowind/Oblivion and love the worldbuilding more than the games themselves (I for one believe selling Skyrim for every platform for the past 12 years instead of updating their shameful Gamebryo engine is revolting), so this game might make you happy. For a while. Also, only if you have someone to play with.

Also, there's a bunch of expansions and Paid DLCs and stuff in general so it's Bethesda's business practices which might also deter people from getting this. I'm not THAT idealistic, and have no issue to pay for a few dozen hours of fun and curiosity, since the worldbuilding is still great and builds on what we already have and the lore of The Elder Scrolls is as solid as foundation as something like the lore of DND's Sword Coast for example (RPG Nerd Talk)

So yeah, if you're that much of a Nerd, not that protective with your wallet, and can afford paying a monthly fee to make your experience valuable, go for it. I was never a big fan of MMORPGs but this one is as good as they can be, it's in a way like playing Skyrim forever.

Bethesda is still shameful. Dump your 25 year old engine and use Unreal Engine or something like a proper adult ffs...

This game was incredible two years ago when I last played, so I’m sure it’s even more fantastic now. One of the best management:tycoon games ever

Like the second one, it’ll take some time to catch up to it, it’s still relatively new and needs new great dlc’s. Paradox sometimes misses with their DLC so let’s expect they learned from the past about what we players want. I know it looks like I only have 4h in a game where it’s normal to put thousands, but that’s just because I’ve been playing on PS5 since my old Mac got too old. In a few days I’ll be back.

Now do I recommend? First get to know what’s a grand strategy game, and then know that even so, this game is an anomaly. It’s more of a role playing game where you try to make sure your family stays alive during medieval times and retains your land and titles while dirtying their hands with politics of the worst kind.

Well if you're on Mac OS, do not attempt.
Bought a few years back and barely played it, today I got in the mood for it, and it's abandoned.
The game stopped working. It crashes before reaching the main menu.
Spent an hour troubleshooting to no avail.

It is dead for Mac OS users.

I have a bunch of the DLCs and "only" played less than 200hrs.

The game is fantastic. It's the real roleplaying vibe, the idea of creating the history of a dynasty and dealing with the events is great.

The mechanics are DAUNTING to the beginner, but to me, figuring them out and reading about the game and its complexities are a huge part of the fun. It will get frustrating though, as you fail straight away, or after going Game Over because of a stupid decision that throws your 12h playthrough straight to the trash.
It's a game for people who love the high-stakes, for people who love the complicated mechanics and depth, and especially for people who love dealing with cause and consequence.

While not all the DLCs are great, a lot of them do well in expanding the game's capabilities.

Oh, and this game generates the funniest things ever to be found in videogames.

It's pointless to buy this unfinished game at the current state. You really don't do much of anything and it's not engaging at all.

Fantastic, Interesting, Unforgiving.

Very satisfactory, it's a game that will put a smile on your face as much as will make you want to scream when you enjoy your bit of Permadeath.

Still, it is very well made, the characters are amazing, and theres quite a bit of variety to the gameplay even if it's always the same objective one way or another.
There's layers to this game, and some of those are not supposed to be mentioned here, but experienced.

VERY surface level sim.
A lot of humor, a little bit too much for me, but I think it would appease most players.
It's more linear than I expected, which turned me off quite a bit. The repetitive tasks and the lack of some actual good gameplay, made me feel like the grind was pointless.
