Living up to it's "surreal" tag, Arctic Eggs does just that when it transports you to this vibrant & solemn remote community in the Antarctic. Under the shadow of the Saint of Six Stomachs looming above, you cast off with your iron pan, magic joint and a dream to bring cathartic relief to the denizens here.

Shuffling from area to area, completing odd requests gives the chance to meet even more colorful characters. Indulge in provoking and at times, nonsensical dialogue from smokers, shop owners, club-goers, and aquatic animals. You'll always be surprised at the next encounter, and always leave with something new to think about. At times you'll have to decide if you're the one going crazy or if everyone else has collectively gone insane.

The gameplay is pretty simple to pick up on, flipping around eggs in a pan in a cool physics simulation; but as you continue on your journey of satisfying appetites, you'll have to adapt your poultry peddling techniques to new and challenging ingredients. It does get progressively harder, and with three difficulty options for the masochist in you, you'll definitely end up ragequitting and coming back to it the next day.

The graphics are very homey if I had to say, retro-like, adding to the world with its retro feel as you bask in the ambiance in a freezing dystopia huddled with your patrons. Play it during winter for the true immersive experience! The soundtrack is a bit somber, kinda like Cowboy Bebop in a way, and it adds to the world-building; makes me feel like a little bastion of warmth among the cold, a little glimmer of peace for everyone you serve.

The game is kinda short, a while longer if you're a completionist, but like most people who've played agree, it's a fun and bizarre ride. It's worth the purchase, even more so on sale; and it plays great on Steam Deck as it's very well optimized, perfect for playing under the covers during a cold night. You will get pulled inside and come out a little different which is why I can say; Water Museum has truly made a game for the schizo inside of all of us, and I'm all for it.

Outer Wilds is probably the game I regretted buying & abandoning, then regretting I didn't finish it sooner. It is probaly in my top 5, and for everyone who thinks as highly as I do of it, the reasoning for that may not be the same. I wouldn't necessary call Outer Wilds a video game, more like a video experience. At the heart of this "experience", is probably the most exciting element and the theme of this review: knowledge. I'll try to make this review as spoiler-free as possible, because I and others will agree; you should not look up guides for this game, or at least try to minimize it.

After a short, loose tutorial, the game will have no problems thrusting you into its universe and letting you pick up the pieces, no joke. You will need to learn to navigate, manage your time, and solve a galaxy-wide mystery all at the same time. This is probably what is most-off putting, and what you will hear a lot of negative reviews mention. It's definitely not for everyone, and it's originally why I put it down. But boy am I glad I didn't. Taking things one step at a time and really using gameplay tools and some critical thinking, you will slowly or quickly piece things together.

While everything new will definitely pose a challenge (you will die, a lot) the fun will be in picking yourself back up and trekking on. This takes me back to my original point of knowledge. Every time you launch your ship, you will have learned something to further your understanding and the story. You will come to see your earlier theories proven, and your strategies working. You might be confused, even at the end, especially at the end, but the journey is worth it.

All in all, Outer Wilds is a must have, and a fantastic entry for people who love to go on adventures. Backed a passionate indie studio, starting from an alpha for a thesis years ago, with a nice physics engine, a sort of cartoony look to it, interesting characters, fun and exciting gameplay, and a stunning soundtrack by Andrew Prahlow, I can say that this is an experience that deserves to be called a video game. Now please play it.

Said he would sherpa me through Shattered Throne. He just ran ahead and when I said please wait for me I need to grab the chests he laughed and said "snooze you lose". When he got to the thrallway he told me he was leaving.
but it didn't end there. He will not stop sending me screenshots of our conversation. He keeps DMing me "snooze you lose" and won't stop. I tried to block him but he just makes new accounts.
I hope one day he will find peace.
