I am not gonna pretend that I am never playing this game again but sometimes you have to ask, why do people lack the basic morals on things like not inviting a guy who raped his own mother to voice in your game? Even Psychicpebbles expressed relief that Chris's voice didn't make it on smiling friends, another edgy newgrounds creator type from back in the day. Yeah, no money is going to Chris but are people really just that numb to evil acts that they just don't care anymore and will do ♥♥♥♥ anyways because "the funny"?

The game is good and overall been having a good time playing it up to this point but this ♥♥♥♥ just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Beyond fantastic and refreshing: This feels like not only a love letter to what TF2's identity was but has hindsight for what works and doesn't with the base game in terms of gameplay.
The new weapons are punchy, creative, often focused on dealing big one shot damage then reloading similar to the scattergun and rocket launcher or AOE that affects enemies and teammates to win the battle, making the TEAM part of Team Fortress actually mean something while keeping things chill and fun. This isn't even mentioning the new throwable weapons that somehow fit perfectly.
You seriously must check this out.

Early Access Review
My opinion completely 180'd, there is still problems but the fact performance has been MOSTLY fixed in such a short amount of time is a relief.
Free play is still flawed and should just give you most of everything at the start so you can practice but it's whatever really.
The oddly slower movement in this version of the game is actually caused by your character starting as a weakling, you need to slowly build muscle-mass in order to progress and you gain muscle by just playing the game and wearing heavy stuff on yourself basically.
Overall, what this version needs mostly right now is a tutorial.

Ape Out is a cool idea that isn't done very well.
It reels you in with a promising start, great sound design and stylish visuals. However, over the course of the game it gets brutally hard and not in a fun way.
RNG in this game is incredibly inconsiderate of what the balance should be.
Enemy placement is nonsensical and unfair, seemly truly random and unbothered with what enemies should be or not be together or straight up have hoards that rain gunfire upon you. Environments are either too open or mazes that have dead ends, leading to many unavoidable and unfair deaths.
There is something really cool here, but the RNG pisses me off too much to care.
I can see why I left my last playthrough with mixed feelings, overall fun idea but the devs should've made a bunch of floors that the game could randomly select from.
Buy at your own risk.

It's like if Anger Foot had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up love child with the year 2014. I don't mean that in a bad way either, somehow.

Wattam is a great idea that doesn't live up to the hype. I love the ideas it brings, especially the idea of having a sandbox game with no logic or rules just doing whatever seems fun at the moment. It's a great idea but the game simply doesn't have enough to play around with in that sandbox. The games story while trying to gather all the characters feels like an excuse to showcase the abilities each one has which is fine but given my short playtime of about 4 hours you can guess how much content this has. I am not gonna guess too much but this problem seemly comes from the team getting screwed over by sony and dropping the project for taking too long, making them jump ship.
Another issue is that the game breaks really easily. A good example is getting soft locked from getting some characters after finishing the story, pro tip here is to focus on the bowling pin's side quest before everyone does the final spin, making sure to check each season/island until they're clearly unlocked before you continue the story. I've also experienced a crash when closing the game, although my save was thankfully okay due to being paranoid and saving before turning the game off.

I wouldn't consider this a bad game just under cooked despite it's long development, although it is clearly something not meant for my demographic which might add to my mixed feelings on it. I recommend sticking with the artists previous work if you want something more for everyone but just as nuts as this game is; that is if you can in a few cases. Like, good luck getting your hands on Noby Noby Boy and having a save with all levels unlocked, sure as heck I can't.

The game is good but not exactly great in my opinion, the whole thing oozes charm with an amazing soundtrack but you can just feel how "hollow" and stupidly simple the game is from a coding stand point. It feels like someone made a flashlight using a pringles can, few wires and tape, somehow getting it to work despite that. It also has mechanics that are strangely punishing, being able to loose objects in your katamari very easily or straight up just getting stuck. The map design doesn't feel cohesive either, you will probably get lost first playthrough and item placement feels scattered, not really considering the locations all that much. This isn't even getting into the map design straight up just not being very fitting with how the game plays at times, a large hole in the side of a wall at a school that is usually too small to get through, long bridges that you can easily fall off of over large bodies of water, ect.
Overall, the game has a lot of soul but is the definition of experimental.

Then you have We Love Katamari which is the complete opposite and more. Very good controls, great map design, an actual story although simple, varied level objectives with the only possibly weaker part being the music although it is still very strong, "katamari on the swing" is one of my personal favs at the very least. Basically just get WLK if you want a more solid experience.
