This is the saddest thing I have ever seen. PSO2 has truly gone down the drain extremely fast with the release of NGS. I have 1,831 Hours and 48 Minutes in total play time (1,384 Hours and 26 Minutes in Base) (447 Hours and 21 Minutes in NGS). PSO2 Base is one of the best MMORPGs out at the moment. Especially if you have friends to play with. While I usually tend to keep away from talking to other players in this game. You can easily make some friends and people will help you out and teach you. However this isn't about PSO2 Base. However it's about it's illegitimate tube test baby of a sibling, New Genesis. New Genesis is a shell of what Base PSO2 was. It's empty, boring, stale, and most importantly soulless. If you're new to the game, I guarantee you will play for probably an hour and notice how boring it is. No real grind-able quests. The same damn enemies in every region. And once you choose your class and you get it to max level. You're more or less stuck as that class forever because it takes too long to level another class through purely Combat Zones and the games Urgent Quests. Combat Zones are what's going to kill this game. Sega seems to be doubling down on Combat Zones rather than making fresh new quests worth grinding in. Until they release re-playable quests similar to the ones in Base PSO2. I recommend staying CLEAR from PSO2 NGS until they fix their game and make it worth playing hours in. If you MUST play PSO2 now. Play Base PSO2. And if you want to use the NGS player model then you can slide into NGS for a few minutes just to buy some outfits and accessories. I give Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis a 3/10 (Good to get on and alt tab to find something better to do). And I give Phantasy Star 2 Base a 8/10 (Plenty to do, Friends to be made, Classes worth Leveling, Weapons and Armor worth grinding for. Good luck buying from the Player Market though).
