First and formost - I play this game singleplayer. I don't have any interest in PVP style games (for any game).

That being said - I've come from and era of Warcraft 1 &2, Command & Conquer: Red Alert (all), Age of <insert name>, Anno <insert date>, Starcraft 1 & 2, Settlers <insert number>. For me, Northgard reminds me of a lot of these.. but each in a different way. There is obviously a new twist to the whole game as it's not entirely open resources for anyone to run for... you actually have to work for it, and this is something I enjoy. Different people have different traits, also changes some of the skills/passives in the skill tree.

With the campaign mode, it pretty much baby steps you though the game (on normal). I think their normal mode was a great starting point too - it's still difficult as a learner but great way to learn your tactics for hard mode. If you're an achiver they have little goals you can complete for each level. You can only see these goals after you've finished playing it once (though you may of already achived these goals first time, and it will tick them off)

All in all - I've enjoyed it, and still enjoying it, very much so.
