Easily best game of 2024

Fun game

New Review:

I am now changing my review to Positive as I feel big changes have been made to the game to a MUCH more positive direction! Which is amazing! The big issue of controller players was nerfed, which even as myself a controller player, was a BIG BIG fix. Several big bugs have been fixed, although one that does keep returning is the puck bouncing off the corners of the rink in a very weird manner. However this bug only occurs sometimes so is excusable, but does need to be addressed ASAP.

The addition of ping simulation is BIG as well which is great!

It really does feel the dev team and most-notably Erveon really care about this game and the community so I really hope to continue playing this game and hope it continues in the direction it is going!




My Previous Negative Review:

Slapshot is only Okay at the moment. I am only selecting a negative review as the game needs big improvements but unfortunately the dev team are not willing to fix blatant issues that have been in the game for a while, even when multiple top members of the community point the issues out. All I can say is: Mando.

Additionally, accessibility to learn the game and improve for new players is poor. The skill ceiling is very high but the game makes it difficult for new players to learn the game how it should be played in 4v4, as public matches are only 3v3.

Finally, servers and obvious bugs in this game are so rampant its crazy. It's not uncommon for you to be in a match where the puck gets stuck vertically and will not flip the right way up until it is scored or reset. Sometimes if you hit the puck when it is like this, it will basically ddos you and cause you to lag. The servers are consistently disconnecting and lagging most days, so get used to it.

This game is truely fantastic. You feel engaged with every single character as if you are a part of their world and with that brings all their emotions. If you are looking for a game that will give you a deep story and put your emotions to the test, this is the game for you.
