a very uncompelling and unimmersive world and story

I heard how good the writing was and its really not. the quests are uniformly pretty bad there's a bunch of busy work quests where you go here and either:
A) kill a thing
B) steal an item (guarded by people you can kill)
C) watch some wacky scene play out

Aside from the main story which is your classic boxed in sandbox story. where the game goes from wide open to strictly on rails.

The characters are all kinda ♥♥♥♥ and unlikable which(aside from johnny) doesnt really work. I know im *supposed* to like Tbug or Panam or Judy but when the ""funny"" banter falls flat they just come across as smarmy. Johnny is good though hes intentionally written as a bitter failure lashing out at everyone and everything around him so when he's annoying it plays reinforces his character. Also the performance by mister breathtaking man is really good and gives the character a charisma that makes him stand head and shoulders above the rest of the cast.
