There's a lot of content (videos/memes) of MiSide out there that paints it in a stereotypical goonbait PoV just because it has anime girls. It'd also be easy to assume it is from the store content alone. I can assure you, MiSide is far deeper than that.

MiSide has a comparatively short playtime of around 5-6 hours, depending on how fast you play through it. In that short playtime though, you'll be pleasantly surprised every single step of the way. The game has many ace cards up its sleeve; not once did I feel like I was bored nor did any parts of the game overstay their welcome.

This is an emotional, heartfelt, unique, and fascinating meta-approach to psychological horror, one that subjects you to many different feelings over its runtime without repeating itself. It's been said many times before, but MiSide rivals indie legends such as Doki Doki Literature Club and Undertale in terms of raw creativity and trailblazing.

Please purchase it and play it during a quiet evening. It's worth every penny. You will not regret it.

I used to recommend this game. I can't recommend it now.

The modding scene used to be the lifeblood of this game, so they killed it.
The game used to perform well on everything, so they switched to UE5 for no tangible benefit, ruining performance.
No one is playing the game anymore, so they added microtransactions to milk the last few dollars out of it.

Disappointing.

Unbearable grind in the later parts of the game (grinding for Monkey Money and Monkey Knowledge). Despite this, it's still fun.

Sloppy combat that isn't fun to engage with. Exorbitant system requirements for a game where two people walk back and forth and hit each other. A whopping 114gb install size. $70 price tag for $20 worth of content.

All signs of a game to avoid.

Absolutely stunning game. Easily in my top 5 greatest games I've ever played. Combat is punishing yet incredibly satisfying, the game kept me hooked at every single turn as I wondered what adversary I was going to face next, and it has a pleasant story on top of all that. Optimization is THROUGH THE ROOF; this game easily runs on almost any PC in the past 10 years while still looking utterly beautiful.

If Sekiro, by some blue-moon type event, ever got DLC, it'd be a day one buy for me. Even though I sunk 70 hours into this game, I could easily sink 70 more in if there were more content. Worth every single penny I paid for it.

I see ONE dip to 89fps and I'm ⚰️

Very fun game for a quick round or two. INCREDIBLE optimization on the dev's part, ran on a GT 1030 at locked 90FPS. I'm pretty sure I could run this on a smart fridge. Game's design lets you play either very defensively and get through with near certainty, or rush in guns blazing if you know damn well what you're doing. If you have played a roguelite at least once in your life and you own something you can strap to your face, buy this.

A recent update COMPLETELY REMOVED the Sonic games from this collection. Sega has ripped them out to force you to play them via Sonic Origins, which is currently $40. Do not purchase if you're a Sonic fan. You're better off emulating them at this point.
