There is a training course, and you can practice bots before you try to go against real people online. If you play this game a lot, you will get better at it, and you will get into higher skill groups. Unfortunately, there are some hackers lurking around this game, but if you play VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) secured servers, then there will be no hackers on the game you play. It's a good game overall, and you don't need a really good computer to run this game, so I certainly recommend playing!
