Also holy moly I LOVE the parkour in this game; my naturally autistic urges to climb anything and everything have never been more satisfied than in this game.

My only gripe with the game is PvP: it can be fun occasionally, but in solos, it is a severe detriment to the rest of the game's experience and often results in the game punishing you for daring to bring anything remotely valuable to the match, especially anything geared towards hunting ARC like the Hullcracker, a weapon that deals far more damage to ARC than it can to players.

I haven't had nightmares from horror games (and horror in general) for several years, so Mouthwashing handily breaking that streak was quite the wake-up call, pun intended.

Can confirm it did in fact hurt. A lot.

It's the 4D Chess of Portals, except it throws you into the deep end and says "good luck you can do it!!"

Except I can't do it, because this game thinks I'm way smarter than I actually am.

A childhood classic from the Xbox 360's XBLA days...!
For those of you who have never played this, it's like a holy combination of an Encore from a rock concert and a twin-stick zombie shooter.
It was worth the $1 I paid to play it back in the 2010s and it's still worth that price despite being COMPLETELY FREE now.

The game's developers knew exactly how to trigger dopamine in the human brain in every possible way and delivered this to us for an incredibly affordable price with zero predatory microtransactions attached.

I DON'T THINK I NEED TO ANYMORE, OH MY GOD THIS GAME IS SO GOOD 12/10

Performance issues, grindy as ♥♥♥♥ and often unrewarding and Fatshark - in typical Triple-A fashion - prioritised the ingame microtransaction store long before everything else.

So why am I recommending the game when these flaws are on such blatant display?


The combat. THE SOUNDTRACK. (Especially Immortal Imperium and both mixes of Disposal Unit.)

For those of you who were significant fans of The Culling (myself included) and missed chasing down players with various sharp things while dressed in funky outfits, this should plug the gaping hole in your heart for the all-too-familiar block-shove-attack gameplay loop: now with creepy mannequins!
