I wrote a Shakespearean tragedy about offering a hand to a fellow civilian caught across enemy lines in an endless war, a story with no survivors. And then next shift I served them a tall glass of Juice That Makes You Weh. This is a game with equal parts mechanics and roleplaying, doing your job but also having a little fun, contributing your part to a film-length narrative with a few dozen others, and getting a complicated web of b-plots and subterfuge in return, then packing up all the toys and doing it again next shift. There's a barrier to entry, but with a few video guides from the developer and the helping hands of your fellow crewmates, you'll go from a passenger who doesn't know how to use internals to a Captain helping teach how to set up the singulo in no time. And with active development the game is just getting better. If you loved SS13 or if you wish you loved it but could never quite grasp it, this game is absolutely worth a shot.
