The game is worth revisiting and giving another taste nearly a year later. The band-aid period has hopefully ended too and the community can receive proper and regular content updates as well. Crafting still needs work, but its more forgiving than its first iteration alongside the improved drop rates to resources.

The overhauled skill trees offer a lot of team diversity that we haven't seen before and it adds even more to Darktide's amazing core gameplay which was its only carrying force when it originally launched. The new modifiers and buffed enemies also keep these new very potent skills in check while still managing to keep them feeling powerful too which is amazing. The game will still catch you off guard due to the small tweaks made by the director, and as stated the vast sea of modifiers existent that will make your runs hell. If you don't coordinate or play well as team you'll feel it even more now.

Offer Darktide another chance and grab some friends to try out the class overhaul update to see what the game should have been at launch. I'm sad to admit that we've more or less been playing an early access game without the Fatshark officially admitting to that, but it felt kind of obvious after a while. Especially after the skill tree revamp was announced.

Regardless, go ahead and purge the foe in the name of the emperor. Its been a long time coming.
