CS:GO was a great game at the end of its life, it was fixed and made better over the years to achieve this result. But now the situation has changed...

My thought comes from the fact that this is NOT a NEW GAME, this is a LARGE UPDATE. Due to the small number of Valve employees working on the game, we still have a very long way to go in getting the game to an excellent level.

I have divided my review where I will touch on many aspects of this game. And at the end I will highlight the advantages and disadvantages.

1. Anti-cheat. The problem of having a poor anti-cheat is most noticeable in Premier mode. This problem is not so noticeable at a low elo value, but at a high elo value, in 50 percent of cases you will come across cheaters on your team or on the enemy team. Despite this, I have to say that they are rumored to be developing an anti-cheat based on artificial intelligence.

2. Ranking system. The problem of weak anti-cheat is obvious here, but there are still some factors that depend on the game. The rating system doesn't work at all. At the beginning of CS2 there was a problem with the fact that you were given a random number of points when you won and lost. Then another one appeared. If you don’t play in Premier mode for about a month, your rank will be demolished. But if you win one game (no matter how many games you lost during recalibration), it gives you several thousand elo! Because of this, the rank is completely devalued, because noobs end up at the top of the rating table.

3. Sub-tick updates. The problem with the new sub-tick is that it works on the basis of 64 tickrate, which is VERY noticeable: how grenades are thrown, how the model moves, how it registers hits. After a short period of time, Valve banned the use of 128 tickrate on servers, which negatively affects the game until they make it work correctly.

4. Console commands. I don’t understand what the developers were thinking about when they kept the ability to change the XYZ axes of the arms, but removed the commands associated with moving the arms or changing hands from the right side to the left. This is stupid in every way. If they decided to remove these commands because of the shadow, then why did they keep changing the axes? And if they want to remove some commands so that all players are on a level playing field, then they should remove ALL customization options.

5. Game mechanics. The biggest problem in the mechanics is the advantage of peeking and dying behind a wall. This kind of advantage existed before, but now this problem has become much stronger. Sometimes there are situations where the ideal reaction and aim will not help you kill.
Just imagine that you made hundreds of thousands of kills in the previous version of the game, but now shooting has fundamentally changed in sensations. It’s easier to hit the head, you feel like your bullets are really effective. But after a few bullets, it becomes almost impossible to spray. Your many years of practice will not help here at all.
Movement of short strafes has become much more difficult. It became less fast and responsive, but it became much easier to do difficult jumps.

The game has some small advantages and disadvantages, such as a new sound or interface, a change in the game's gamma etc., but this is all subjective.

Conclusion. The game has excellent prospects, but so far it is unfinished. We are looking forward to the game changing for the better <3
