[ENG]Every day is a new story, so they said.[Prescription]

Bohemia Interactive found the Infusion Engine, and just like Ubisoft, got hated for doing something they thought'd be good new experience. In reality, the game is now heavily relying on the modded community as many people say, and that the game is dead. But, in reality, Bohemia is still struggling to keep the game alive and updated.

Trying their best, just like Ubisoft, they know what they've done. They accepted it, yet, hadn't gaven up and kept on working on the game. Improving it. They bit too much, at first, and regretted it, thus they take small bites by now. However, they keep on producing lots, and lots of trailers. Their montage looks good, the fact that they made the gesticulation menu and smooth animations to them just make me proud. And despite the bugs, negative results of old players and much more on, I don't regret buying DAYZ, as it is my latest entertainment.

The game process.

The year was 2019, just as the update 1.06 hit down and made the game "look, feel better" to me. Saying honestly, I'm not one of 'those' players, who had been playing ARMA 2 from the very start, or played DAYZ 2 MOD for ARMA 2 at all, despite the fact that I really liked ARMA 2(but I got pushed away by the 'force needs', alike leave your team alive at all costs or whatever.

DAYZ, to me, is a.. Simulator of patience, trust, and somewhat of a log. You memorize your actions, and under certain angles forcefully become a detective as you spot a door open, an item lying down, an movement noise somewhere nearby, or just hearing a fly pass by slowly. You're always stressed, and just when you let your guard down, you get killed after farming lots and lots of goods. Compared to SCUM(which I hadn't played, but I remember how popular it used to be, once) or Tarkov, which is the 'most detailed game' so far(to me), DAYZ is.. Less hardcore, to some people. You don't have a small map, or a clear objective, and you don't have to 'do the needs', at least not yet, is what I'm grateful for. But, you rather need to memorize your actions, and as I've said, keep your head on a swivel.

Vanilla experience is the most common one. I launched it first, and met no cheaters. I.. Had no idea what to do. I did not know the map, like, at all. Nor I did know how realistic the game was. I was friendly, died a lot, hadn't learned from mistakes. But slowly, and eventually, I understood.. Peace is a rare option to be chosen.

Everytime I found something decent, every time I met a player, I was met with.. Odd hostility. The thirst for blood, for some reason, kept them droven hostilly towards me. What was the matter? "What did I do to deserve this?" I thought to myself. And only after many hours(~2k, from two different accounts) I realized the game had no limits. You killed a person, at your own choice, and you wouldn't be punished right away. Oh, no. You'll meet the consequences. You'll meet what you've become, overtime.

You shoot someone, and this very.. "Person" hears you over several kilometers. You know that you are hunted. But you don't know, when will you be harvested like a plant from the garden. It is always a stress, a temptation to get the best and keep it to yourself, to protect yourself from the ones who want to share, or take it all from you. You slowly become.. An uncontrollable murderer, with very little cuts of friendliness in yourself, that were imprinted by your first playthrough, and your first friendly encounter. You always see this reflection, in the eyes of another player, but you can assumingly read through them, what is about to happen, or how you will meet your fate if you won't do something rightly.

Eventually, after hours, and hours of killing, you feel empty, and alone, if you don't have any friends nearby. You slayed.. Hundreds, thousands of players. Most of them were innocents, or just freshspawns, killed by mistake, or because of precaution. But you don't feel haunted by the actions you've made. Everything feels right, natural, as you know that whatever you do, you'll end up at the screen, which says You are dead.

Bohemia did really feel the need to fix what it's done to the DAYZ. Accepting the fate over these seven years, and working on the game in the further, as it let the modding platform put a second breath into the game. Vanilla servers slowly let in cheaters, but the modded ones kept on living and refusing to let any. They blame Bohemia for the disappointment from the promised expectations, and I don't blame them for that.

Conclusion, to this small review.

Bohemia Interactive met an engine, which they thought would be a piece of cake to handle. But, in reality, it turned out to be a nightmare, out of which they struggle to make a dream. Humans are not perfect, many of us make mistakes, but the ones who had learned to forgive can accept anything and not get offended by it.

Every time I return to DAYZ, to Chernarus, I feel.. Alone. Empty. I've been at many places, nearly everywhere. I met.. Lots, lots of players. I had my favourite experience at Vanilla servers, and modded servers. Sadly, I hadn't been able to see what the RP communities had been progressing so far, with my years of experience from the chat-ish Roleplaying, but I probably bet they've enhanced the game so much, that the game feels like.. Real new or better experience.

All I want to say is, the game takes it's time to update and upgrade itself, under the efforts given. The company is made out of people, not machines, which have their own lives, their own morality, their own experience with programs, engines, and jobs. They keep on updating ARMA 3, too. Restorating the game, nearly from scratch. Taking new plans, recording new sounds, and making the mechanics of the game less complicated, and more learnable, compared to the same ARMA series that "we all know and love".

Good luck to you, survivors, and see you out in the open world of Chernarus!
