After more than 8000 hours spend in the game, i can still say its my favorite game. It sure got its flaws and some questionable decisions, but overall a good experince.

BUT, i do not consider this game as a F2P game, but a Pay 2 Play game.
You need a Premium Account to somewhat earn RP and Silverlions.
Since 2014 i use Premium Time (Always buying on sales). For me its not a bad thing that i have to pay 40€ (2x sale price for 180 days) every year to have premium for another year, over and over again. After all, theres always new content update worth more than other games deliver in DLCs for the same price.

The Grind that alot of reviews mention isnt that bad in all tech trees. The Air and Naval Trees are relativ fast, but tanks are a real pain, especially in major nations.

But even with that, i still would recommend WarThunder. It sure takes it time to really understand the mechanics and to effectively grind silver and vehicles, but it gets real easy as soon as one understands how to.
