When you have as many DLC expansions as this, to the point you're now doing an expansion subscription for £8.50 a month, you do not deserve people's money.

I hate Paradox's business model and this is just another horse armour gateway.. price your old expansions accordingly or bundle them to give your player's value for money rather than molesting their wallets you greedy corporate wanks!

Bought 3 days ago, played 25 hours, wouldn't recommend if you want to do anything else with your time.

I really wanted to like this game but I cannot recommend it so far. I think it needs work, a LOT of work.

Firstly... the UI elements and general graphics look straight out of the early 2000s. In fact, I think Civilization IV had better graphics which is from 2005(!). If the price reflected the lower quality and very "indie" feel of the game, I wouldn't raise this as a major point but at £35 I feel like I had about £20 stolen from me as a Paradox tax.

Gameplaywise.. it's a bit basic. I think there's plenty of potential in this game which is why I have chosen to buy it but I am fairly skeptical as you cannot trust any developers these days to do a good job.

Conclusion is simply do not pay more than £15 for this title unless you are super into turn based civ likes.

Feels like a harder Sins of a Solar Empire without the polish. I like it but I also don't at the same time... it's difficult to quantify.

A genre defining game that can only get better. So much potential here to blow games like Factorio and Mindustry out of the water.

I look forward to seeing what modders bring to the table.

Great game but I can't recommend it with the current monetisation model. True TCG work because you get an actual physical card. This does not translate into an eTCG because by it's very nature you don't actually own anything. The reason a game like Hearthstone is successful is because the F2P model works as a F2P player can work their way towards a P2P players collection, it just simply takes a lot of time.

F2P model in Artifact and hands down it is the best (in my opinion) eTCG.

If you buy this game then you are contributing the the problem with all games coming out of Ubisoft in the past couple years. Every game seems to be open world or bust with this company right now and whilst it is a welcome addition when done well, it's just an empty sandbox when done wrong.

What can you expect from Far Cry Wildlands? Running around with a third person camera that's so close I filed for a restraining order, vehicle's that handle like they're being driven on ice by someone with parkinson's or how about flying a helicopter/plane through custard with no rudder controls? Yes.. NO RUDDER CONTROL in a GHOST RECON GAME.

You know you've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up when Just Cause does car control better than you.

As for the shooting, it doesn't feel like a triple A game at all. The hit detection and general feel of the guns isn't great and while we're on the subject the limited pool of guns I've used all seem to feel the same. TAR-21 vs M4 for example, can't tell the difference.

And the game's "stealth" mechanics? Yeah.... no. Far Cry did it better and that's pretty sad considering FC is meant to be more arcade. They could honestly rebrand this game Far Cry and it would do two things... be at least acceptable but be a step backwards for that franchise. That should tell you all you need to know. Oh and you can't actually hide bodies after you kill people, wonderful stealth right there eh? And if you're dumb enough to play solo your AI buddies are controlled with generic as ♥♥♥♥ commands.

Overall my impressions? This game is not worth full price and is a spit in the face of Ghost Recon fans.

TL;DR: Don't buy for full price, might be good at 50% off but by then the servers will be shut down, right Ubisoft?

Early Access Review
Game has been abandoned by 22cans and no communication on forums, avoid at all costs. Shame on Steam for allowing this to still have a store page!
