God, this hurts to say, but I genuinely can't recommend this game. It feels like at every turn NRS and WB try to make this game worse and worse. Poor performance, 60 fps in fights only, poor programming, player 1 advantage, horrible balancing, and now with season 2 we have inconsistent scaling with the new DLC (Omni-Man has better scaling on PC), and a huge nerf to xp gain making it near impossible to actually level the characters you play. As if all that wasn't bad enough, they top it with disgusting amounts of monetization, going as far as making us pay for seasonal fatalities like this is For Honor. If you wan't to get a Mortal Kombat, I would suggest MKX or MK11, and avoid this garbage pile until it gets fixed.

This hurts, a lot. I remember playing the beta for the original Destiny, playing the full game when it came out day one. Running through almost all the content the game had, and being excited for the next installment of my would be new franchise. I remember playing the beta for Destiny 2, playing the full game day one again and loving the story, even though some of the early expansions were a bit underwhelming (looking at you Curse of Osiris). But over time this game that I have loved for years and years has slowly turned into a lifeless shell of what it once was. Consistently, Bungie has decided that instead of new equipment to kit out your guardians with, that they should either re-release the same equipment, or slap a new texture on it, give it some small stat variations, and call it brand new. And when this wasn't enough, they then decided to start porting over gear and content from Destiny 1, which while I did love the gear from that game, it feels lazy and uninspired after all the previous re-releases. This doesn't even begin to mention the fact that the entire main campaign, plus the first, second, and third expansions have all been removed from the game. All this, plus the removal of fun activities such as Crimson Days and Faction Wars, makes this paid game gone free to play (that also removed 3 paid expansions) feel like Destiny 2 has lost it's light.

While the game was fun for a bit, playing without friends felt like a chore. Sadly this has followed rocket league to epic, leaving old steam players with a worse experience. Thanks devolver, and thanks epic.

Honestly, I wan't to love this game, but too many things prevent it from being a amazing MK. I have played almost all of the MK games (haven't touched Shaolin Monk's), and can honestly say that this is the second most frustrating game imo, surpassed only by Deception. The gameplay is passable on the off chance NRS hasn't unoptimized the game with the latest patch, the Krypt is a complete mess, quite possibly the worst in the whole series, and the story is a joke. I won't get into any spoilers, but the story's end genuinely upset me. Finally, the lack of good characters in this game is astounding. While the "Kombat Kids" weren't too well recieved in MKX, they would have been good provided they give a good backstory. So what does NRS do? Only keeps half of them in the base game/story, yet disliked characters like D'vorah are kept in. This could have been a great way to bring back a bunch of dead characters, with the whole time travel plot point. Yet instead, they use it more to be able to have explainable mirror matches. Where is Mileena? Oh yeah, in another "we didn't put this character in so give some of their moves to Kitana" cop out. This game could have been amazing, but with all of it's flaws, I feel like the wen't backwards from the good gameplay of MK9 and MKX

This is quite possibly my favorite game of all time. I own it on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and have played it a fair amount (458 hours on Xbox alone), yet I still come back to it consistently. The lore, the gameplay, the design, everything is amazing to the point where I can say that this is the best entry of all the Soulsborne games. Truly a masterpiece.

Welp, It has finally come full circle, now hasn't it? Back to the days of old, having to pay for weapons, and now they cost more, for less. 4 weapons for $8-$9 was decent (except the fact that I bought a bunch of the stuff for kf1, and still am missing at least $70 worth of content for a $20 game), but $10 for a single weapon? Killing Floor 2 used to be one of my favorite games, yet they had repeatedly made steps in the wrong direction. First, they make a paid character for $10, and now this. I not only bought the deluxe edition of the game, which is honestly not worth it, seeing as they gave you some promo items from their other games so you didn't have to buy them, and a character tat you could literally get for free by joining the steam group, but I even went as far as to buy the game for other people, and I'm sure I'm still on the low end of the spectrum when it comes to giving my wallet to tripwire. I can't support a game that has lootboxes, paid cosmetics, paid characters, and now paid weapons. I would say maybe if KF3 ever comes out, but at this point, I hope it never does.
