Well guys i have been getting many questions from friends so here is my early review on Total War: ATTILA .



Unlike past total war games ATTILA really puts a big focus on the roaming nations like the Visogoths, Huns, Osogaths, etc. This is no exspansion of Rome 2: Total War. Personally i prefer ATTILA over Rome 2 for many reasons. Some of those reasons is that the cinematics are back! Good Mideval 2 Total War cinematics that are back along with the family tree that has been missing for some time.


Politics have exploded in this game. Feels much more like Crusaders Kings 2 politics with the internal family and then the other nobles. Marriages now are important in that they secure alliances which bonds neighbors. Most of all the politics is something actually needed to be kept in order unless if you want to lose your control after a couple turns.


Battles do feel very different, i will not lie some issues are abroad. Morale seems to be a factor which needs to be worked upon in my view. Battles do not last a few minutes anymore and can actually stretch for a long time. The various maps in which you play on are countless and will not stay the same for each playthrough.


Sieges are completely new. Actual siege towers and ladders needing to be used! I know right! Unlike ATTILA's predecessor, sieges are very hard now and the walls make a huge difference. Your archers will barely even scratch those on the wall until you smash them down using Onagers or some other siege equipment.


So after reading all this you may guess i reccomend right? Well i do and i don't. This game at its current state is very difficult and the AI is too good for new guys to just hop in. For gameplay? Yes i do reccomend if you enjoy a good strategy game which now has so many new features.
