It's in early access at the moment, but is already well worth the $10 price tag. Randomization and a bit of jank makes it chaotic fun, and quick rounds make the comedically punishing aspects not feel too bad. Play it with some friends and just goof around for a good time!

The only thing in recent memory that made me yell at my friends.

I was introduced to this game when a friend saw someone else play it and told me it seemed right up my alley. I've been coming back to it for 7 years running and count it as my favorite game.

Like any PDX title it's had its share of obscure functionality and a scattering of bugs, but the current game's condition is fantastic. CK2 uses random and contextual events to bring life to a story about your dynasty. It may be a bit difficult to learn, but it's pretty deep -- at least until play for a thousand hours and start to understand the mechanics in depth. If you like complex gameplay, procedural storytelling and/or 4X expansion, it's worth taking a look.
