Story mode features an enemies to friends to lovers romance between Kenshi and Johnny Cage 10/10 will play again

Pros: Johnny Cage's ass looks great from all angles
Cons: Still no shirtless Johnny / Kenshi cosmetic, and you have to back all the way out to main menu just to customize your baes

Bought the game because I liked the art style, and the environments are beautiful to walk about in, but as much as I tried to like it I just can't recommend it.

Maybe my review might be a little skewed as I had initially thought this was a 'choices matter' kind of game, but it is in reality a very straight forward linear visual novel, and the 'puzzles' devolve to simple fetch quests.

This would all be fine however:

>The characters are pretty bland and unlikeable (maybe just personal opinion...)
I get that it's supposed to be a wholesome game, but the way everyone is so...cordial with each other is kind of unrealistic and 'fake smile'-ey. Humans can have flaws and can still be wholesome at the same time.

>Writing is lacking, with lots of inconsistencies with the characters themselves
E.G Ana is shown to be a huge tea snob herself, but doesn't like when others 'gatekeep' tea, she doesn't like games/nerds but immediately is all gushy at meeting the resident gamer nerd (Jaren)

>Writing comes off offensive sometimes even
E.G Coffee + Tea mixture being snubbed at then described as watered down coffee, when it is a well-known drink enjoyed in many parts of Asia
E.G I didn't like how the game made it like we were meant to root for a 3rd wheel vs an engaged couple (spoilers: It's Bia)

>Considering how most of the game is fetch quests/fidning people to exhaust dialogue options, I wish the characters walked faster/had a run button

TBH I wish there was a 'mid' option so I didn't have to give a thumbs down, but I feel like the Very positive reviews don't accurately reflect this game's standing against other similar VN/Point and Click type games , so here's to balancing out a bit.

Get the game heavily discounted if you enjoy walking about the lovely pixel art environments, but not at full price.

An adorable and wholesome game, though I can't recommend getting at full price for how long it is and what little replayability / content it provides.

There's no 'free' range mode so if you want to get in particular the '9999' or '99999' achievements done you'll have to go through the story and find particular spots where you can repeatedly say No without progressing.

I do love the style, story and voice acting though, just wish it could have been longer. Perhaps it could be expanded in the future into some kind of co-op cooking / cafe type game.

All in all, worth it if it's discounted, and you can spend some time recreating characters from your favourite games/media in it for aesthetic screenshots.

Remember, no means no!!

just as addictive as your 10 year old self sneaking out to the living room computer at 2am to play remembered

As they are bringing ALL the Papa games to Steam eventually (*points gun* no a request, this is a DEMAND), I do wish they'd make some QOL improvements like:

>Banning certain customers from coming to max out others quicker. It can even be just one, have their face on a sign outside with a big red cross for lols
>Convert tickets to cash system (after I completed all the mini game collectibles which was only half way through collecting all the customers tickets no longer had a use)
>Allow players to save restaurant decor (1 slot per festival/season) that they can edit/switch to in the main menu
>Blender ball must die

Got this to soothe my Pop'n Music nostalgia , entirely different vibe but it'll satisfy your rhythm game cravings.

The characters (voice acted!) are endearing and the beautiful artworks from various artists are the biggest draw of the game. Song selection is vast and has introduced me to lots of Chinese composers I wouldn't have found otherwise, plus the game is actively updated all the time with new content / collabs so getting the expansion (pay once and you will get all future updates / unlockables) is well worth it!

A cozy af game I played on Mobile a long time ago and had the pleasure of discovering it's on Steam now!

Ultimately a pizza making simulation and time management game, but it never gets too complicated so it stays chill. The main charm is definitely the art style and different characters (plus their stories) you meet through out the game.

Tons of customization items to collect for your Pizzeria, and an active community with events to boot on their Discord server. I just think the DLCs are pretty pricey for what they offer (all customization based DLCs, for the same price you can get a lot more content with DLCs of other games)

so cozy very za

Game was a gem in its early days but devs kept wanting to rush and push out content instead of fixing baseline bugs, it's unpolished and still buggy, so I cannot recommend to buy this at full price in its current state.

Most importantly, the devs have built a toxic and egotistical community around themselves that rejects all negative feedback or constructive criticism. You can get banned from their Discord for 'being in a hate group/server' which basically just means talking negatively about the game amongst your own friends outside the official Discord.

Meanwhile, if you lick the shoes of the mods in the Discord, you are safe from being banned despite breaking their OWN rules several times, including harassing others, inciting arguments, disrespecting others and breaching their privacy.

The game has had its good times, but its time to let it go and support other games and devs that are really thinking about their community and not themselves.

Latest update was the worst attempt at 'balancing' the game I've ever seen. Killers are way overtuned, I play against 1K and above hours killers and they never had a problem against good survivors before the update.

The update just boosted good killer mains and now hand holds bad killers who couldn't be bothered to learn how to leave a chase that's taking too long or learn how to mindgame a loop (then complain survivors are too OP when they're just really unskilled)

Extremely laughable that devs repeatedly say they are trying to address the camping / tunneling situation when this update makes it the most optimal way to win as a killer. With slowdown perks buffed and gen times increased, 'genrushing' is no longer a reliable counter against camping (just put on Deadlock, survs won't be able to complete 5 gens by the time a 2nd surv gets camped to death on hook)

Tunneling is made extremely easy since killers no longer have to worry about DS (they never did before, but now all the more they can just eat it and catch up in no time at all), the cooldown on successful hits is akin to having a stack of STBFL, and the distance the survivor gains on hit barely gives them any time to even lose line of sight of the killer. Just hold W as a killer without breaking any pallets and the buffed bloodlust gain will help you down that survivor EZ

Basekit BT??? Killers would wait out 12 seconds to down an unhooked surv before, you think they won't do the same for 5???

'Shake up the meta' ? Killers are all still using the same meta slowdown perks, and BBQ (hmmm, but I thought killers only use BBQ for the BP?), maybe think about that.

I main survivor but have at least 1K+ hours as killer and out of all my games the few that were very frustrating were against obviously good SWF survivors. DS at end game was the only big problem for me and with it disabled at EGC it was a good enough quality of life change for me. With all the killer buffs and survivor nerfs now most of my killer games are a stomp fest and some kills even I feel were undeserved.

Solo Queue was always bottom of the barrel and now it's even more miserable, please take action fast to re-balance the game WITH Solo Queue survivors as a priority.
