The ship battle is what sold it to me.
While the combat is fairly simple, it has its challenges with some weapons variety and a decent pace.

Absolute blast even in early access. Looking forward to more updates!

Classic tactical RPG. It plays with a different mechanic than your typical game, but the fun and challenges are still there.
Good QoL updates even when compared to the PSP version.

It is heartwarming to see fans still excited to see a new Dept. Heaven game comes out.

Hopefully, this will be a chance that we'll get more, even non-translated, games out with this much quality.

Darkest Dungeon is a challenging, unforgiving, and stressful game with a great aesthetic, sound design, and narration.
You are held accountable for every action you choose, and it can spiral out of control with every crucial decision you made.
RNG is both your good friend and a great foe. The game can (and it will) dish out BS RNG throughout the game, but you can also nail the critical encounter in a way you shouldn't have been able to.
All in all, Love it.

After putting it off for 5 years, finally finished it.
Such a unique experience.
Also props to Wayne June! (the narrator) for giving a great life to this game.

But is on a weaker side of a Ys game.

The Good:
Excellent port. Controls are enjoyable and responsive.
The story has a slow start but picks itself up at a later stage. The characters are likable.
GREAT music (Blast of Wind, Black Wing, and Land of the Age of Gods are still in my top Ys soundtracks).

The "not so bad but still concerning":
Some of the village/character's stories felt a bit rushed. The ending could do better. Having no closure absolutely bothers me.
Some of the early to mid (even late) bosses were forgettable.
The game gives you lots of tools, so fights are generally short and abusable.

A solid game if you're looking for an action RPG.
I'd recommend this to a Ys fan.

Coming back to play solely because of the season 3 update.

While I enjoyed Saga mode a lot, the tower defense paired with the time rushing aspect killed the game, for me.
The new Survival mode fixes a lot of that problems.

Grew up with this gem. Still a solid game to this day.

One of the best RPG experiences.
Satisfying story. Decent character development. Excellent combat.
The combat alone is worth it tbh. And on top of it, a good story with decent hours to sink in?
Worth every bit of money.

A great addition to The Witcher series. Great story, great gameplay, great voice acting, great aesthetic.
Basically, a puzzle/strategy card game based on Gwent. With the narrative quality of The Witcher.
Highly recommended for The Witcher fan. Absolutely a must if you love Gwent.
