Rays of sunlight peered through the windows, bouncing around the room lighting it up. Keqing stirred, her internal clock telling her to wake up. She slowly opened her eyes, letting them adjust. Once they fully adjusted, the first sight to greet her waking was the peaceful, sleeping face of Liyue’s blonde haired hero. He was sleeping right next to her, his hair a mess while his mouth hanged open slightly.

Using her hand, Keqing moved his messy bangs back so she could have a better look at him. He stirred a bit from it, causing her to remove her hand. She waited to see if he would wake up, but he didn’t. Keqing turned around laying on her stomach, using her hands to prop her head up. She continued to watch Aether, his silent breathing which was in rhythm with slow movement of his chest. She looked at the clock in the room, she had some time before she would have to wake him up. Remembering how he reacted to her touch, she wondered.

No, I shouldn’t. Let him sleep in peace, she told herself, shaking her head but her curiosity kept budding.
Maybe just a little.

Keqing poked his cheek using her index finger, Aether reacted. His hand moving to the spot where she poked him, before scratching it. She had retracted her hand, using it to stifle a small laugh she was having. His hand fell back to his side once again. She inched closer to him, before blowing on him.

He reacted again, turning away and laying on his other side. Keqing came closer and was now hovering over him. Pondering on what to do next, she checked the clock in the room again. In this moment however, she felt the mattress shift as an arm snaked around her waist before pulling her down.

A small shriek escaped her lips as she landed besides Aether, his arm still wrapped around her waist. Keqing looked at Aether’s face, only to find his eyes staring at hers. A small smirk plastered his face, as a blush creeped on her face. She looked downwards embarrassed, as a question escaped her.

“You were awake?” She asked with a quiet voice, a testament to how she felt at the moment. A small chuckle escaped Aether, before answering her question.

“I was,” once those words left his mouth, the embarrassment she felt increased, and her blush deepened. He watched her for a bit, before a smile appeared on his way.

“I’m happy though,” his tone was sincere. His words confused Keqing, as she stared at his face once again where a small blush rested.

He lifted both of them up into a sitting position, using his arm that was wrapped around her waist to bring her into an embrace, using his hand to comb through her soft silky hair.

“I’ve gotten to see another part of you, and that makes me happy,” his words caused her heart to skip a beat. It caused a smile to appear on her.

“I’m glad you’re the one who gets to see them”
