This game is crafted with so much love for fans of the original it really fleshes out so many of the characters in ways fans will appreciate. The last bit of the story is kind of weird but I have to trust that they know what they want to do with it given how much respect was paid to the original story for the first 99% of the game.

Solid 7.5-8/10 if you don't really care for Harry Potter. 9-9.5/10 if you're a Harry Potter fan.

Vibes in this game are immaculate.

Lovingly and meticulously crafted game, but it takes a certain mindset to appreciate and enjoy it.

This game is purely about exploration and the player's own natural inquisitiveness. You won't be given any objectives and only light hints or where to go throughout the game, so you definitely need to be very self-driven and curious to explore and experiment to solve the puzzles. This can oftentimes lead to fruitless hours of experimentation coupled with the time limit, may be frustrating depending on what type of person you are. But the world is definitely carefully constructed where all the rules and physics and lore are adhered to throughout the entire playthrough. And there are plenty of draw-dropping moments of amazement when you reach a new area or uncover another piece of the story.

Word of advice, do not attempt to play this game on a deadline. I ended up getting frustrated towards the end 20% of the game because the complexity of the tasks and puzzles goes up and I was running out of time to finish it on my time off work. I ended up getting stuck and having to resort to a guide for some of the final things, and I think that took away from my understanding and appreciation of the final storyline.

Good game, wish there was a little more Depth though.

Fishing mechanics were fun, and the sense of exploration and uneasiness was great, especially in the early game. As you upgrade your boat and equipment though, it does become a little monotonous and some of the charm and mystery recedes. I wish there was a little more in terms of horror elements, especially at night time. There's really no incentive given to fish during the night, a few more quests and objectives, and maybe some different fishing mechanics focused on nighttime fishing would have gone a long ways towards making the game a little fuller. Hopefully if there is a sequel that can be remedied.

Pretty unique rhythm combat game that rewards you for playing on the beat but doesn't punish you if you are off tempo. The writing and voice acting is good enough that it kept me engaged with the story. The graphics are well done and add to the character of the story. Overall a wonderful surprise hit and a great start to 2023.

Great and challenging platforming. The story was great too, just enough plot and character to help you find the motivation to push through when you're thinking about quitting.
