TDLR: This is one of the few games I've completed to 100% in recent history; and for good reason.

Hollow Knight did something for gaming, that hasn't been replicated since the two games it takes such great inspiration from. I haven't been this engrossed in a game, since the first time I play Metroid:Fusion. The art design, the story progression, the Boss fights. OH MY GOD THE BOSS FIGHTS!

I don't want to talk about any of it, because it is that good to see for yourself. But once you get past the tutorial section of the game, it throws you into the metaphorical pool. But I can't do this game any justice with just words alone, this is a must play game.

First off, this game is not like Frostpunk 1; outside of the city survival gameplay and the setting of the game.
Where the first game was a small band of survivors attempting to make it in this harsh new landscape of never-ending winter, you now govern a thriving city seeking to expand as they continue to survive.

This game will break you, and that's why I love it. Where in the first game a single death was cause for alarm, this game will have you see hundred, maybe even thousands die. But you will carry on in silent frustration, because as awful it is to lose so many... you have a city to run.

Early Access Review
TLDR. This game is in a better state in its current development in Early Access than ARK was 5+ years into development, and WAY better than Pokemon Scarlet/Violet ever will be. And it's only $30! If you enjoyed survival games like ARK or Conan Exiles, then you should get this game.

conveyor belt go BRrrrrr

If you like to obsessively tinker with systems to milk maximum efficiency out of them or stare at the machines repeat the same process for hours on end this game is for you.

Oh and you can genocide an entire species of alien arthropods for getting in the way of your quest to maximum efficiency.

I don't think I can come up with a better co-op FPS than DRG. weather playing solo, with a friend, or a full four man team, this game doesn't fail to be fun.

in summary you're a dwarf working for the Deep Rock Galactic mining company, traveling down to the planet Hoxxes IV to mine for resources. In the caves you'll run in to an array of nasty alien creatures and robots depending on where you drop and what your objective is. initially you will level up to unlock perks and gear for your dwarves, numbering four classes in total. but once you get one of those classes to level 25, you can promote them to unlock more dangerous missions and special gear.

If you're a fan of looter shooters, hack and slash mayhem or Dwarves, you need to play DRG.

Rock and Stone!

Welcome to Madness Combat, we have:
A murderous psychopath who just wanted some random guy to turn his music down.
Jesus Lite.
V01D.
Doc Holiday but he's actually a doctor. (Maybe?)
Beavis and Butthead but they became guns for hire.
A Clown with a chaos engine in his brain.
and a whole lot of soon-to-be corpses. lots and lots of corpses.

Then there's you, the blank slate, the wild card. with one job, stop project nexus.

Weather you're a demons souls OG, a dark souls vet or completely new to the genre you need to play this game. Elden Ring has taken the best of the series and put it in a massive open world to explore. GOTY contender hands down.

A game from a simpler time. Don't let my steam hours fool you, I've been playing this game on and off since it first came out. I even have the physical copy of it.

But its age does show, and it is full of bugs that are only amplified by newer PCs. If you buy this take it with some lightheartedness, because this game is itself.

EDIT:
This game is improving, but we are still digging out of the hole 343 put themselves in. I hope to one day change this to a recommending review, but that day is still some ways off.

Contender for best game ever made, there's not enough time to properly explain how great this game is.

Replayability is perhaps one of its strongest points, I've started up more colonies than I can remember

Mod support is amazing, adding onto an already excellent game

10/10 100/100 Best game
