The game came a few years too late but thankfully Overkill ruined Payday 3 so badly that this game and developer have a shot at taking the coop heist shooter throne. The voice acting in the story is shocking low quality considering the cast of people they got. The mission voices are fine. It's specifically the cutscene voices (and Wiz). However, Im going to blame the writing and direction on that. Because the fact that the voices are good in-missions but not in cutscenes means whoever was directing the cutscene voice acting had no clue what was going on in the scenes. On the bright side, a majority of the in-heist voicelines are well done. The writing and voice acting are definitely the weakest points of this game but it's not too bad to take you out of the experience like other games. Overall, the gameplay mechanics and foundation are there and executed well enough to compensate for the mediocre acting and dialogue.
