I'd give this a neutral review if I could. But the performance is quite honestly, terrible and DLSS did nothing for me. I experienced some strange lighting and texture bug whenever I used it. There's a section when you exit the Steel Mill in one of the game's early levels and you encounter the Sniper enemies for the first time. (♥♥♥♥ them btw.) Performance here is some of the worst I've ever experienced and there seems to be no fix at all.

I enjoyed the early sections a lot, but once the mercenary enemies make an appearance in the game, there's a noticeable difficulty spike and you really start to see the cracks in the system. Some sections genuinely feel unfair. It feels like they want this game to be an immersive sim, in how you tackle some of these encounters but the possibilities are just not there. The slow and heavy methodical movements of Robocop that make you feel like a badass in early segments, make you feel helpless. As these very movements feel awkward and limiting now.

Facial animations are very poor and a lot of the voice acting is suspect. For instance, I swear the entire Torchhead gang are voiced by a single dude and it makes combat segments hilarious and ridiculous, since the enemies love to talk and you have the same guy talking the entire time. The story is not bad, if you like Robocop you'll enjoy it. Main antagonist was more irritating than anything since they use the same gimmick every time you meet him and it became stale fast. Especially since the gimmick itself was predictable. Final boss was cool though, wish there was more of that honestly.

The 'morality' system in the game was very well done though. Instead of a good or bad system, since you're playing as Robocop, you work within the bounds of his morality and the devs did a good job here. Some of the themes explored are interesting but they don't delve deep enough. It's not an RPG or anything, but the choices you make seem to have some interesting consequences, whether it's truly deep or not is a matter for debate as I have no plans to replay the game and find out.

If you want a good movie fps game. Go play Terminator Resistance instead. Which is made by the same people, funnily enough.
