I already had seen videos and such back in 2019 when it first released, so I knew it was going to be good ahead of time. I was surprised when this game shattered my already high expectations. The physics, though janky sometimes, are fantastic, and a blast to mess around with. Climbing is also very fun, and what I used the most to solve puzzles. Having a keen eye is rewarding, granting extra ammo/currency for those who go out of their way to explore. Which, while it isn't open world, the levels are large and spacious, and not to mention the breathtaking visuals and lighting. If you've played Pavlov, the guns will be familiar, but sometimes can be annoying because they physically interact with your body. The sound design, models, and effects used are very satisfying. My only gripes would be not having a dedicated button for releasing magazines, like in Pavlov. But there's a mod for that if that's a concern to others. 9/10. I already beat the story, but I'm going to get all of the achievements and play all of the other noteworthy modes. For anyone who wants a fun Virtual Journey with engaging combat, or someone trying to recapture the magic of VR, I highly recommend this game to everyone who has a VR headset. I'm not an Index user unfortunately, but if you are, that's just another reason to buy this game if you haven't already.
