Isonzo is a game about the Italian front of WW1. The weapons, uniforms, equipment, and maps in general are detailed with care, and the research that went into these aspects of the game are superb. It does require significantly stronger specs to run compared to previous games of the series, however that's due to the engine upgrades, as well as the bigger scale of the game itself. There are, of course, issues that were present on release, and are still present at the time of writing this review, however I'd like to clarify that these issues either weren't present or were fixed before release, and as such were completely unpredictable. The devs have worked hard and are still working hard to fix all of the issues present, however there is something that's hindering them; Data collection. The devs need people to report bugs to them so they have more data to look through, since their patching work takes up all of their time, as well as work on their new expansion.

Now, would I suggest purchasing this game at it's current state? If you have the money, specs, and are interested in the setting and are willing to help the devs fix bugs by reporting them, go ahead. If not, it's alright if you wait for a sale or for issues to be fixed.

Coming back on 12/03/24, the game is in a better shape than it was on release. Issues have been lessened significantly, though some glitches still remain unfortunately. The dev team is still working on these issues, and will continue to support the game even after all content updates are finished, as they have done with Verdun and Tannenberg.
