Last "Good" 3D Sonic game and the first one in years before it's release.
Great speed-run potential, great graphics, mild lack of diversity in level motif but each level remains unique and vibrant in spite of the sheer velocity by which it blows by the camera.
10/10
Buy the SHADOW THE DAMN HEDGEHOG themed remaster this fall.

HELLDIVERS 2 continues to be a bastion of what the games industry needs.
If you have 3 friends or no friends BUY IT.
BEFORE THE SERVERS DIE GET IN HERE AND HAVE FUN!
THE GAME IS GREAT JUST BUY IT!

I have NO idea what happened behind the curtain at SONY, and if Arrowhead really had a say one way or the other with the implementation and subsequent removal of the PSN requirement, and it doesn't really matter when judging the game's merit.
HELLDIVERS 2 is just good ole mama's cooking kind of gaming with the tinsel and baggage that 2024 live service brings. The premium currency can be grinded for at a rate that's actually humane. The exchange for the battlepasses relies on a currency that is issued through actually playing the game. HELLDIVERS stared down the lootbox microtransaction hell that is Live Service gaming and used the technology not only politely for the game's economy, but also used it to novel and outstanding effect in it's core gameplay motivator: A server driven, player determined, galactic war.
It's Starship Troopers meets Terminator meets ODST. No dumb midwit contemporary American politics, No ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shoehorned into the gameplay loop, no stench of weird inclusion specialists or committee meddling, YOU PICK WHAT YOU WANNA KILL, JUMP IN THE POD, CALL DOWN THE ROBOT AND THE NAPALM AND THE NUKE AND THE LASER GUNS AND YOU ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ UP WITH YOUR BOYS. That's it.
That's it.
That's all you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ need. Cool aesthetics, cool setting, tongue in cheek ultra-nationalist propaganda, buttery shooting and movement mechanics, and an arsenal of cool ♥♥♥♥ to keep things fresh.
THIS IS ALL YOU NEED. Just make a fun game with no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. You might get lucky enough to have a diehard fanbase of moody manchildren to threaten your life on X and then everything will be fine.

10/10

Words cannot describe how rock solid this purchase will be for you. If you're into anything revolving around sandboxes and soldiers, this is the premier package on PC.
You can battle it out on the whole known and unknown realm of human suffering, from the Somme to Baghdad to Tatooine.
You can pit Spetsnaz operators against the Covenant and roll in a package of F-4 Phantoms to drop Nape on the whole kerfuffle.
Bohemia, in a outstanding show of developer care, continues to make ArmA III a joy to play for both players and modders. They learned all the best lessons from their last smash hit ArmA II and made a quantum leap forward in fidelity and performance. They've invited the most fervent mod makers to take part in releasing official DLC packs which, in of themselves, provide whole new campaigns and beautiful asset packs built on the solid foundation of ArmA III's engine.
Building collision can be little glitchy, physics can be a bit odd, infantry movement can be a bit stiff, but these are just the base of the robust product that Bohemia has engineered. If there's still a few things you'd like tweaked, the community has tailored the game to whatever a player would want out of the experience.
Bohemia knows that the workshop and the end-users have carried this game for over a decade and they, in sobering fashion, embrace and encourage this.

BUY THIS GAME.
DON'T BE A LOSER.
JUST BUY IT.
2,400 HOURS AND COUNTING.

Deceived an emotionally compromised gay man for a key in order to progress through a hard area. I killed his lover whom he already believed to be dead, and it subsequently softlocked my 8 hour play-through. P Lame ngl.

When you buy this on Steam you only receive Microsoft's Installer.
Therefore you must have the game running in Steam to download the actual game to your hard disk.
Therefore it's extremely unlikely you will have the game running on your machine before Steam's 2-hour refund window.
Therefore ♥♥♥♥ Microsoft for it's usual multi-trillion dollar underhandedness.
Gaben is a multi-billionaire and his product does not ♥♥♥♥ it's end users (as long as Steam's servers remain online, granted) and somehow Steam has dominated the market on game distribution software.... Strange... and Microsoft has been trailing for years....How odd.

**Store page displays images of fighter Jets and airframes from Halo and yet the game contains neither

A semi-sweet balance between the absolutely brainless saccharine toothache that was the 2016 remake and the complex and contrived plots of the Future series, Rift brings the best of the new (albeit not very "cool") Ratchet and his stalwart tin-can sidekick to PCs the world over. Rivet's addition was welcome and her story and personality were engaging. Being a given for Insomniac: AAA+ graphics, controls, and effects, the whole shebang etc etc. A rock solid product for fans of all ages even if the dialogue between the good guys tends to be on the extremely safe and cuddly side...This development, being a person who has bought every game between the first entry all the way up to Nexus, was a pleasant and exciting surprise.
The team supporting the PC release was lightning fast to cover most of the major graphical issues that I had, and thankfully provided a robust array of video options to help tune the game to get the best player experience possible. The handshake between Valve and SCE alone warrant a positive review as, hopefully, more of Ratchet's galaxies find their way unto Steam over time! Outstanding show!

One nigle though, Insomniac... if your dev team really DOES read the slop on the internet... Next time, maybe a few less fire and forget weapons/glove weapons? Sure they're fun for the spectacle, but the visceral sensation of "shotgunning" a mook is a tried and true part of every great shooter.

Perfect balance in maintaining the new serious gritty tone that RE has adopted while still keeping much of the early 00's camp flavor without completely compromising either direction. With the addition of Separate Ways, this remake becomes a great example of how to pander to old fuddy-duddy gamers like me without rehashing the more outdated mechanics and managing to incorporate a new and challenging loop that zoomer ♥♥♥♥♥ can enjoy just as much as the oldheads do.

Credit where it's due for not charging for The Mercenaries.
But boy howdy if it ain't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gay to charge an additional 10$ for content that came with the OG release. Even bought the 70$ edition of the game anticipating some love down the road.

Oh well, it brought back the lasers so you win some you lose some...
