Update: still love this game, now has more features than CS2 by far.

-------------
I have 2500 hours in CSGO, and a few hundred in Trackmania. There are a lot of similarities between the two games.

-Casual servers run by the dev
-Multiplayer competitive mode with ranks
-battle royale mode
-custom servers with user created maps
-supportive community that makes maps/skins/campaigns
-strong Esports presence
-Highly skill based. Easy to learn, hard to master
-amazing replayability

Want to KZ? RPG maps are up your alley
Want to Surf and relax? you can absolutely vibe out on Fullspeed maps

There are also things that Trackmania does better:

-Daily competitive tournaments run by the dev
-Client Mod support
-Ping doesn't matter so you can play with anyone around the world and have a good experience
-no randomness in controls, completely deterministic
-Can host rooms on dev owned servers whenever
-Local Splitscreen
-in game replay system (CSGO demos can't really compare)
-in game map editor
-in game club/clan support
-full support by its developer (sorry Valve)

The list could go on and on. If you are interested, the current campaign (Summer 2023) is really well put together.

CSGO has Prime that needa to be bought, Viewer passes for 10€ each and Operation passes for 10€ each, aswell as microtransactions.

CS:GO doesn't have a subscription model to access most basic features and any maps outside of a small selection of default maps. Factor that into your comparison too.
