Early Access Review
AdVenture Communist. When my gaze first fell upon this game, it was a euphoric feeling. "more great content streaming straight from the teat of hyper hippo." i thought to my self. But alas, T'was not the case in the slightest. early game is pretty fun and enthralling, but as the game progresses you tend to notice a bit of a misbalance. I have put a (somewhat) substantial amount of time into this game, and in my time have figured out that it would take a stupid amout of time to "finish" this game. From what I can tell, there are 2 major bottlenecks, and each one restricts progression too much on its own. The first is the Comrade system. Basically, you need comrades in order to upgrade any one thing. The problem with this, is that you need far more than what is supplied to you. after my 60ish hours of playing, i have only gotten it to 89 per second, and to really progress in this game at all, you would need thousands to tens of thousands a second. To put this in perspective, i did the math: I get 89 comrades per second, the max is somewhere around 500. At my current rate of comrade production (89 per second) it would take 13582260000000000 years to get a hospital, the top tier medicine upgrade. so yeah, needs some rebalancing. The second major bottle neck is in the weapons and medicine. In the other three categories, each different thing you buy produces more of the previous thing you bought (hives make plantations which make collectives which make communes which make farmers), making growth (somewhat) exponential. This is not the case with weapons and medicine. The only things that the upgrades you buy make is weapons and medicine respectively. also, the math in some cases makes literally no sense at all. to get a field hospial you need to spend 10,000,000 ambulances. a field hospital only gets you 1.85+10 while not even 250,000 ambulances gets you 5.92E+12, which is already over 100 times what a field hospital gets you. overall, fun game, but for it to actually be playable past a certain point, it needs a serious rebalance.

and just to let you know, i use an auto clicker that clicks 100 times a second, so its not like i'm trying to be legitimate in any way.

TLDR: decent game, but dont expect to progress very far, needs an insane amount of rebalancing to be worth investing even one tenth of the amount of time i have into it

2nd Response to justclaner: valid points. i do use an autoclicker, but at the moment im getting something like 3.0e11 per click for medicine, which is basically nothing compared to what you need to get hives/colonies. i also didnt factor in comrades to the math because that would have added a whole nother factor that would have so many variables that it would be completely impossible to accurately calculate. I get that you're saying it is possible if you change your time, and i might end up doing that at some point, but the point is the game is completely unplayable unless you cheat/change time/alter timescale, and i dont think hyper hippo intended to make this game a game where you cant progress in a legitimate manner. cheating is usually something that developers try to avoid happening in their games.

also, your also not going to never get more ambulances right? I see that you are struggling so hard, you should actua;ly cheat the game, get the autoclicker hack, let it click the , run all investments, and then keep changing time, 10 years into the future and back to the present back in forth. By 30 minutes of straight repeat and clicking with auto clikc hack for capsules, you would get a colony in no time!:steamhappy: Also, when I tested just from 25 minutes, I already got like 9 colonys, which the ninth one costs 500 hives, I'm just 13 morw hives away from my tenth colony on my hacked one so yeah. Or to make it fun again, use Hard Reset. Because, lets just be honest, the beggingin of the games are always fun... right? Even in hyper hippo games.:steambored:

also in response, your not just gonna wait for the ambuances to run the indusrty thereseves right? You can make much more if you click it yourself too. I actually now just tested your response, in ,y way, I hacked the time, it would actually only take 60 years, but a difference from 60 years to a trillion is almost nothing because of how long both are. I get your point,

just so you guys know, I rarely play, so I stock up all my profits, so yeah... Unlucky for you, I can get hives from capsules after I already got a hive.:steamhappy:

in response to justclaner. I do know that, and that is a good point, however the amount of time it would even take to get a colony in incredible. ill crunch some numbers real quick: to get 1 colony it would take (assuming you only buy one of each upgrade and allowing time to get the rest for you) 1,111,000 comrades, not bad, but the BIG bottleneck is the medicine. for one hive, it is 4.17e19, you need at least 2 for a colony so that would be 8.34e19 medicine just for the hives, thats at least 1 million plantations to get your first hive, so thats another 4.17e18.

i currently have 539,006,000 comrades into medicine (all of which are in ambulances). these 539 million took me (at current rate of comrade production) 72 hours. the amount of medicine i am getting is 1.89e13 every 30 seconds which is 6.20e11 per second. to get the amount of medicine needed (8.757e19) it would take 10664872000000000 hours. this means that it would take 1.217 trillion years to get a colony, give or take a few million years because i didnt factor in comrade production. I dont know about you, but that's a bit too long of a time to be waiting just to get one colony for me. if there are any mathematical discrepancies please let me know, and either refigure them yourself, or let me know where i messed up and ill be glad to do it all again.

Since you guys dont aready know, everytime you get the colony, or the last tier, it resets all your unlocks, BUT NOT YOUR COMRADE PER SECOND RATE.....
thought since you alreayd played 80 hous, you should know that already. The game is also rebalaned. Patience is the key. My parents restict screen time. So yeah 5 days a week without ad com would earn me a lot. If you guys are this mucb of a struggle, go cheat/hack by changing the time of your computer to the far future. :steamfacepalm:

I have had this same experience, I'm trying to plowe through it, but the medicine aspect, where advancing medicine is very expensive, and WORSE than what you already had is maddening.
