This is one of the best retro-style 3D platformers I have played. The animations are super smooth, the visual style nails the 90s feel and the movement is incredibly fun and well designed which for me is the standout of this game.

The only downside for me is that the game is quite short. Don't get me wrong, the game is absolutely worth the price, I just feel like the mechanics are so good that the game doesn't get the chance to explore them to their fullest potential. I'd love to play a sequel with more new moves to learn and areas to unlock.

100% worth your time and money

A really fun 3D platformer. The gameplay switches between rail grinding which functions like an auto-runner and free movement which controls really smoothly. The art style is fantastic and the G8R is adorable. It's a short game but well worth it for how enjoyable it is.

The only thing I didn't like is the main theme, which wouldn't usually be a big deal but there is a collectable in each level that changes the in game music to the main theme, which made going for these collectables a little annoying, but that's obviously just a matter of taste.

I hope another SK8R G8R game comes out because I'd love to play more!

This game is a lot of fun. I've loved unlocking all the different characters and running around familier levels. The problem is that the game is clearly not finished with loads of bugs and softlocks that completely halt your progress and force you to start over.
Multiple times whilst playing, I have reached a point where I could not continue and was forced to restart the level.
In one of the scott pilgrim levels you find parts to repair a giant amp but when I did this the amp did not work. Turns out several NPCs also didn't spawn in on the level starting.
In one of the He man levels, beast man was supposed to throw rocks to break gemstones, but he just stopped thowing them. Then on a second attempt I teleported into a small room using number 5, and there was no way out. That wasn't even a bug, that's the intended use of his power and it got me trapped.
I really want to keep playing this game but right now you are paying money for a clearly unfinished product, and they are releasing paid DLC before the main game is fully functional, it's just not a good look for the devs at all.

It's not a fun or clever puzzle game. The puzzles typically have very little to do with the environment and would be no different if you just did the puzzles without the open world part. There is very little to actually tell you what the symbols in the puzzles mean so half the time you won't know HOW to solve the puzzle or why you got it wrong. It feels like they were going for a 'teaching through gameplay' thing but it does an awful job of that. If you are stuck on a puzzle and want to come back to it later that means remembering where it is and slowly wandering around the game world to get back to it.

The puzzles are boring and having them dotted around an island doesn't make them any more interesting.

This game is definitely worth your time although it does have a very short run time. The environments and puzzles are reminiscent of classic PS1 horror and I liked that, but where this game really didn't work for me was the combat.

Like in many horror games the combat in nightmare of decay is quite bare, which would be fine on it's own but you are frequently met with combat encounters that can't be avoided including several boss fights which lose a lot of their appeal when you realise it's just a case of slowly walking around an area, realoading your weapons and hoping you have enough resources left to brute force the enemy. The combat isn't a fleshed out enough mechanic to require much more skill or strategy than that and therefore I feel as if the combat should have either been made more interesting or many of these encounters should have been removed to let the exploration and puzzle solving shine.

The gameplay between these sections is good, but the combat is frequent enough to take up a big chunk of the gameplay which is a real shame.

Overall, and for the asking price, it's still worth it and I hope to see another game of this style from this developer.

Really fun little puzzle game. It was a lil spooky but not as much horror as I thought. The use of the PC interface is very creative and the puzzles are very well designed.

It's quite like the witness except I didn't like the witness so better than the witness, and with puzzle elements that make sense and are well explained.

It's also got some good humour to it in places and all round definitely worth the price.

I've been waiting for this game to come out and there is definitely a lot of promise here, I think the game needs more work. I encountered several glitches such as having the controls menu remain on screen until I reset the game, leaving through a window and ending up out of bounds and falling through the floor and seeing some areas in which there were holes in the geometry that I could see out through.

There was also an issue I had where interacting with a door did not open it, and instead I had to just walk into it. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I just found it unintuitive but it took me a while to figure out how to even enter the building due to this.

One of the first puzzles I came to felt frustrating because I had to alternate between reading a note, looking at a little house and looking at paintings, and after that one of the paintings was in such a dark spot that I couldn't read it at all.

what was very good though is the unique aesthetic, which is achieved so well and is the reason I was drawn to this game in the first place, and the atmosphere that became very tense and gripping when spooky events would occur. Because of these aspects I want to follow this game and see if it gets any significant updates, but as of right now, it's not for me.

I am fairly confident that after patches, this game will be a lot of fun and definitely worth playing but at the moment it is simply not finished and near unplayable.

The game is poorly optimised and frequently freezes and drops frames even on the lowest graphics setting, but that is something I can live with. What isn't as easy to overlook is gameplay glitches completely halting your progress.

Very minor spoilers here but I got to the part where I could choose to either go to the prize counter or the loading dock and went to the prize counter. That lead me through various other missions until I needed a higher security level to progress. I then went back to the loading dock but the game wasn't behaving correctly, several mission objectives got skipped altogether and when I found the security room, Gregory radioed Freddy despite the fact he was in the room with me. This then softlocked me as the door was shut and the button did nothing, I think because the game thought I'd finished that objective.

This just shows a product rushed out in time for Christmas and whilst I wouldn't mind waiting for a significant patch, the game being out early means that every second youtuber is posting spoilers everywhere online. This should 100% have been delayed, It's just not done.

This is a short, fun 2d platformer. It was lots of personality and it feels real nice absorbing entire cities. definitely worth a play.

This game is one of the best horror games I have played yet. The graphics and atmosphere are incredibly reminiscent of Silent Hill, and really adds a lot to the horror aspect of the game.

The game is very effective at creeping you out and many parts got in my head to the point where I wasn't sure if I was actually just imagining things or not. The majority of the horror comes from the atmosphere and when the game does jumpscare you it doesn't feel cheap.

It's not very long (I think I took about 4 hours?) but the gameplay is varied throughout different areas and doesn't run on long enough to feel repetitive in any way.

If you are a fan of horror I cannot recommend this game enough
