Something needs to be done. It's a great game made unplayable by outside factors. An official stance needs to be taken, not just "do nothing"

EDIT: Game is actually playable now which means you can have fun which means positive review. Many other issues but the core *fun* is there again.

It's a unique and rewarding rogue-like point and click horror game. Crafted in the art style of famous horror mangaka, Junji Ito, it does what it sets out to do very well. The story's are eerie, unsettling, with some downright horrifying enemies and at other times simply malignant. There are some loose ends/unexplored parts of the game development that may disappoint you but the core loop is there and is fine. However overall as a whole experience it is thoroughly enjoyable. 8.5/10

There's so much to discover around every corner and the path forward can be followed or forged on your own through. Honestly this game is absolutely beautiful and rewarding to play in whatever style suits you best. I'm absolutely blown away by everything I find and everywhere I go in this game, and the difficulty never feels unfair to play against either because you can choose which way you want to progress and when. It's culmination of everything FromSoftware has worked on previously and it really shows. It's great.

If DOOM was a rhythm game. I want more and hope there is more to come.

I won't lie with this review, I am heavily biased towards Rewrite because of the fact it literally ended up influencing my career path in life; which to the writer's credit is what they set out to do by presenting the world in ideologies.

Rewrite is a fantastic VN that deserves every bit of praise and negative critique it gets. It really stretched the boundaries of what kind of story Visual Arts KEY could tell. It has a fantastic memorable soundtrack and beautifully written characters. To note, there are multiple teams behind each of character routes writing. So if you don't find one to your particular taste, another character's story will feel very different. However, the end message of the entire story is the same and expertly told through the VN medium. It is an unforgettable experience that I believe everyone should sincerely give a try.

I think one of the main appeals of Rewrite is the shock factor of the initial introduction to the story. It goes from a very very lengthy common comedy route to intense crisis that leaves you with many questions without answers. It's interactive in letting you choose how much of it you want to experience. It's fun, mysterious, whimsical, exciting and sometimes downright depressing with its themes. It's best played blind but I highly suggest checking a guide for your route order playthrough if you decide to pick this up since this particular edition (+) has unlocked some formerly locked story progression.

Having gone through and played on Epic difficulty this cult classic of a flash game, I can safely say that it holds up surprisingly well to modern standards. The jokes still feel relative despite being somewhat dated, and it clearly leans into its game parody of Final Fantasy and other JRPG's just enough without getting in the way of the core game play. While modestly repetitive, it's still a solid turn based RPG that offers the player unique flexibility on how they want to play and offers unique challenges with elements and character strengths and weaknesses.

The best part about all of this is the game is free. A good 10 hours or less it should take you to 100% on Epic difficulty.

The most unique game of its time on release and it never got the love it deserved from either of its parents, resulting in a what can only be called "wasted potential."

Absolutely fantastic card game with a great narrative. It was equal parts challenging, thought provoking, and fun throughout the entire experience. I 100% recommend this game at full price. My only wish is that the game was longer, or had some randomized elements to the escape room bits for added replay-ability.
