The Story is worth it.

Gorgeous game, animations, scenery, great character design and top of the class voice acting.
Literally a playable movie with so many different outcomes you can get lost in it.

Would like a manual save feature so I don't have to restart from certain checkpoints.

The devs are Monkeys. Genuine Monkeys.
They allow blatant exploits and bugs to be abused for entire seasons rather than actually fixing them causing the entire game's balance to be shot to ♥♥♥♥.

Screw this company.

Take a ride in the futuristic, dystopian world of Cyberpunk.
We have awesome Gameplay, good Characters with great voice acting, a breathtaking setting that amazes in both artistic direction and pure fidelity underlined by a great score that reminds you of, though cannot reach, the quality of The Witcher 3.

BUT, do not be mistaken, if you want great writing and satisfying endings that make you feel like the hours you've spent in Nightcity and it's cast of characters have come full circle and reached a good conclusion, you are mistaken. We have not ONE, not TWO, not THREE, but 7 ENDINGS for you. Amazing isn't it? 7 different ways to choose how your character will die! Enjoy!


Conclusion, this game is great, and if you're a Gameplay focused gamer, I can see this being an easy 10 for you.
I for once, actually would like to have a satisfying conclusion after spending 100 hours warming up to my characters, but that's just me.

Absolutely awesome game with Official Mod support and tons of great mods to choose from.
Also a great way to relief stress.

Preface, only 15.3% of Steam Players have beaten the final boss as of yet, so take the current review score, which is an OVERWHELMING amount of Chinese reviews just giving it a thumbs up, with a HUGE grain of salt.

For numbers that means out of the 466.000 Reviews, only 69.900 players have actually beaten the game YET.

Beat the game, might 100%, here is my review.

This game is a 7 /10, wait for Sale in my opinion.

**What the game gets right for me**
- Visuals 10/10
- Art Direction 10/10
- Cinematography 11/10
- Story, overall presentation 9/10
- Variety 10/10
- Voice Acting 10/10

**The Issues**
- Performance, I have a 4070 Super and 5800x. I still get random stutter and frame drops to the 40's with high settings and DLSS Quality, unacceptable.

- Exploration. I HATE missing content.
The game doesn't tell you when you might lock yourself out of content.
I missed 2 entire fights, because I beat Duskveil immediately. LET ME PLAY YOUR CONTENT!

This feeling never lets you go, you want to see it all, but after hours of running around and having to run past or beat small fry fodder all the time it gets draining. Play Chapter 3 for 100% and you'll know what I mean.

- The Combat. It can be SUPER fun, reaching the highs of Sekiro when you are locked in and hit that perfect dodge/parry chain, but the biggest issue is, the visual clutter can get in the way of the animations you're trying to reach.

I saw it in the intro where the clouds would obstruct some of Erlangs moves. The White Clad Noble and Yellow Wind Sage also have these issues.

Additionally, BULLET SPONGE GARBAGE. Towards the end of the game, where you should be a lot stronger, you will still be slugging along having to dodge endless strings of combos by enemies and get a few measly hits in before they will go back on the offensive. Unless you're ONGBAL, you're not beating bosses that fast.

- Telegraphing, this is an issue that is naturally tied to your reaction time, but for me, some attacks are horribly telegraphed. Enemies will randomly switch up between Isshin and Margit. They DID fix that issue for a few enemies including the Final Boss and Erlang where they will give you a visual clue to dodge attacks, but when they don't, well, good luck.


If you REALLY want to, you shouldn't let me stop you, but WATCH some reviews first, this game is not the hardest, but casuals WILL have their issues.









My Original Rant Review where I was stuck on Erlang:

Artificial Difficulty at its FINEST. I haven't see this level of artificial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in LOONG time. Whoever decided to make Erlang THIS tanky and annoying with his patience meters needs to... I am so tired of this HP inflation bullcrap in this game, you NEVER feel like you actually get stronger. And if that wasn't enough, you have to jump through hoops like a monkey to even find the most awesome bosses and IF you do, its this BS.

Wait for a Sale. This game isn't worth pulling your hair out over for 60$


EDIT1: I just beat him. I still hate him, but HOLY THAT REWARD. I DONT THINK ANY GAME HAS EVER VISUALLY PLEASURED MY BRAIN. I JUST CAME.

What if Dark Souls 1, Bloodborne and Sekiro had a mentally ill baby?

Great potential squandered by HORRIBLE execution.

This game would be a masterpiece, if it wasn't so stuffed full of filler enemies that only exist to make run backs worse, mini boss as regular enemies everywhere and they all have inflated health pools and WORST of all.
The animations in this game are HORRENDOUS.
Pause.
HORRENDOUS.

The combat is so much fun, but every time you try to interact with the intended way of fighting, the parry system, you will eat ♥♥♥♥. Skill issue or not, I don't care.
The telegraphing on attacks is so bottom of the barrel bad.
It's like every enemy in this game is Margit from Elden Ring the difference, when they DO attack you, that attack comes crashing down on you faster that the FBI when they find my search history.

I wanted to love this game, but once I beat the final boss, I will NEVER touch this game again and probably hide it in my library so I never have to see it again.
