It's really not that good..... im glad i got it for free. I'll still try and play more of it because i love these crozy kind of fishing games but this is something else.

No support for monitors over 1080p was the first sign.

The weird look of characters also struck me immediately.

The reason why im leaving this review after just 10 minutes played is that its clear theres a Rare/banjo kazooie vibe the games going for with with looks and running around. the dialogue too which is a pretty bad animal crossing/banjo kazooie knock off you can not skip or speed up which you can thankfully turn off in options. but they also decided to take the archaic god awful camera of early platformer games. The game decides where you get to look and its often behind you where you can't see at all. You have no control over the camera and it makes navigating downright just unpleasent and barely, and i really mean barely, playable. I had to run down to the beach by the ship and run in circle just to get the camera to face up so i could figure out where 'east' was. you cant see anything YOU WANT TO see. Its the fatal flaw of this game for me personally. The camera is so rigid and incredibly good at making you feel claustrophobic. you can't at all see where you are going, i a hot second to even walk down some stairs because this really awkward angle it gave me.

Then i got to the actual fishing. you get a net and the minigame is just you click and immediately a green square appears on a bar and you click again and you win. its not rewarding. its barely tactile. paired with no even being able to see a single thing and no waiting and just click click done i may as well be playing a mobile idle game.
