The game started off strong but eventually fell into the pit of having to put money down in order to stay in the meta, with cards becoming harder and harder to acquire. It's amazing how much harder it got to get a good deck, and cards stay insanely rare on a chance that you can get something good once or twice a month.

Stay away.

If you are looking for a well written, in-depth, dark fantasy Dragon Age game, this isn't it.

However, if you are looking for a game that isn't afraid to tell smaller stories, to make you fall in love with your colorful and interesting cast, to not be afraid of leaving out the world changing choices in favor or something more personal and singular, you might have come to the right place.

The game is far from perfect, but the joy of talking with the companions makes all the time I spend in the game worth it. On the surface, the game is basically your average action RPG, which is plenty worth to pass the time. The sheer amount of (mostly fine) dialog between all the companions in this game is staggering, and basically every mission you do for them feels fleshed out and at the very least super interesting. And the game is drop dead gorgeous as well, loads very quickly, has zero bugs, and runs flawlessly.

You can do way, way worse than Veilguard as long as you know what you're getting before hand.

This game is a love letter to gamers. The developers really care about their game and they've made one of the most fun, funniest, stylish and beautiful shooters in decades. It's infinitely fun and there's only more to come.

This might be the most unique survival/crafting game I've ever played. Combining a super interesting story with a very unique spin to the crafting genre by putting all your efforts into one singular thing (a car) instead of your full base or buildings was a stroke of genius. This game is hitting all the right buttons for me, and I cannot wait to play more. Survival game fans, LOOK HERE.

This game shocked me. I was not expecting such all around loveliness. The controls were perfectly tuned, little Kiwi felt so perfect to handle. The music was delightful and really stuck in my mind. Even the graphics were extremely cute and adorable. What a little gem. At an hour run time, I wanted more so badly. I'd seriously play a full sized game with the exact controls and graphics.

Do yourself a favor. Play this little gem. It's lovely and gives me the warm and fuzzies.

Amazing story, kept me hooked start to finish. Gameplay is flashy and fun. Not incredibly deep, but that doesn't matter in a short experience like this. I loved essentially every second of my playtime here, and eagerly await the continuation of the story.

Stray is a very weird game.

When it’s a platformer, or a catformer, it’s really good. It’s essentially Uncharted’s climbing sections, but cat. Catcharted. Easily the best parts of the game, super fun. The story can be very entertaining, and just moving as a cat is super satisfying and fun.

Then it becomes a sorta open area, puzzle based, find this item to trade this item to give this item to progress sorta game. And then sometimes it adds weird things to the catformer sections, like almost action game type stuff. You start shooting little aliens with a light, you have to move items around to progress.

It kinda doesn’t really know what it wants to be a lot of the time. Which is a bummer because when I’m running around as a cat doing cat things, like jumping and running, it’s an absolute blast. The second I’m solving puzzles or shooting stuff, things a cat doesn’t do, it becomes a mediocre video game.

But, there is a lot to love here. Being a cat is fluid and fun, and the story is also very interesting. I do recommend it, even if it sorta loses its identity during part of the 3-5 hour run time.

Delightful game. It's not trying to be difficult in the early hours, it's just trying to encourage you to better yourself! The game is less about the levels, and more about improving your time inside them. Add on a fun story, and this is wonderfully unique, lovely time.

I don't love open world games. I think they're usually a terrible checklist of crap I'm not really interested in. But the heavily claustrophobic city streets of Japan are so cool to explore, and the mission design is so weird across the board, it's really keeping me interested. I've not played much but I've very much enjoyed it so far. If it doesn't overstay its welcome, I could see myself finishing the main story and side quests easily.

Early Access Review
If you like Starcraft, but can't deal with the DPS it requires to be very good at it, this is the game for you. So much less stress, but just as much strategy.
