Review Showcase
First of by the time i write this review i have over 15k hours on P3D & FSX and i have been a flight simmer for alot of years and i recently moved over to MSFS to give it a go and i didnt regret it! only thing that kind of sucks right now is that there are not alot of good Addon aircrafts for people who likes to fly turbo props (Or other smaller planes that are not as much used as a 737) since im also a member of a VA (Virtual Airline) we simulate a regional airliner in Norway which is the largest regional airline operating in the Nordic Countries and which serves 41 domestic airports and most of those airports are STOL Ports (Short Take-Off and Landing) and requires small aircrafts to be able to reach (Dash 8s) But for other flight simmers considering moving from P3D/FSX/XP11 you should consider looking at some of the addon aircrafts (the ones you will fly most) because this sim lacks alot of Aircrafts that isnt as much used as a 737 or a A320
With that out of the way lets get to it :)

This sim is a serious investment. It's not easy to justify dropping 60-145 USD on a game, but this isn't really a game. Its a flight simulator that will either make or break your commitment to learning curves.

If you do any flying, this sim is the worth getting it is not yet as far as XP11 or P3D but it is still early in developement and updates are coming. Paired with the correct hardware and licences, it allows pilots to log hours towards ratings. So, for the best part of £60, you'll get as close to flying as you can in your home.

For someone who doesn't fly, this game presents a significant challenge. There are some basic tutorials which explain the fundamentals of flying in a Cessna 172 - after that, you're absolutely on your own. There's a few aircraft to choose from, from small GA planes like the Cessna all the way to four-engine passenger jets from Boeing. Systems are accurately modelled and interactable - you really can control everything just as you would in the real machine. So, once you've mastered some simple pootling about in your 172, you can escalate to small jets or 747s and find a whole new level of challenge. Flight simulators is the only place where I've had to consult actual reference material outside the game, and when I found myself reading a flight manual in my idle time, I realised I was either very sad and or probably justifying my purchase price. It's an immersive world, and if you've got the time and the brainspace, it's rewarding too.

What you also can do in MSFS2020 is connect to VATSIM (ill use vatsim as an example since its one of the most used on P3D, FSX, XP11 & MSFS)
VATSIM (short for the Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network) is a completely free online platform which allows virtual pilots, wherever they are in the world, to connect their flight simulators into one shared virtual world. VATSIM also simulates air traffic control in this virtual world, creating the ultimate as-real-as-it-gets experience for you, the virtual aviation enthusiast.

With over 79,000 active members in 2018, connecting your flight simulator to VATSIM allows you to join hundreds of other pilots in our virtual skies, flying all kinds of aircraft all over the world. As a VATSIM member, you can join our many communities across the world to enhance your flying skills and flight simulator experience in a shared virtual airspace. You can also become a virtual air traffic controller, adding that extra bit of realism for you and your fellow enthusiasts. The real beauty of VATSIM is that it caters people who are completely new to the hobby as well as to the seasoned flight simmer.

MSFS has still a way to go but is almost endlessly expansible too; the default install package includes the WHOLE world's terrain and is impressively accurate, but with the help of mainly freeware mods online, you can accurately simulate your hometown if you so wish. There's a raft of extra aircraft (including some payware which rivals the base game price) which are unbelievably well-concieved - the community go the extra mile here to faithfully recreate their favourite airliners.

A small mention has to go to the visuals - it's a stunning engine and some of the 3D cockpits are so immersive it's easy to forget you're sitting in front of a monitor. Engaging, stimulating and satisfyingly accurate, Asobo Studio have continued to impress with MSFS - but it's not a light purchase. And for the love of god, play with some sort of controller, it makes things a lot easier.

And if you ever look up to the skies and wonder, how its like? Well this is as close as i'm ever gonna get
