idk if i am explaining it very well but i have lots of recorded footage of this. It definitely needs to be toned down.
It's concerning to me that I have been playing FPS games for almost 30 years and Splitgate is the worst offender of overtuned autoaim by far. And after 50 hours in, I realize most of my teammates and opponents aren't even human. They're bots with fake profiles which is incredibly misleading.
It is not fun grinding against mostly bots and players with aim assist. If its not addressed I don't see this game lasting longer than its competitors.
And if this game didn't utilize cross-play; It would very quickly die again.
Before people keep crying about the soft lock aim assist; if theres a second enemy that runs in front of the first person you're shooting. they pull the crosshair off of that person and you end up shooting the air. Soft lock is literally the crappiest thing you could play with because it changes your aim direction when you aren't ready. They use it in Call Of Duty also but you can turn it off in that game when using a controller and it makes the aiming feel a lot more smooth.
