Silence.
The one thing I crave at this very moment.
I hear the screams of the village outside the walls of this broken castle.

When they came, we thought nothing of it. We thought they would go by and leave us to our own. Why was I the only one who took caution to these outsiders? I do not know.

They rampaged through the village for what seemed like an eternity. Until finally, silence. I didn't want to go out, not yet. I waited for what felt like an hour, then I left this crypt of a castle.
The village was burned to the ground, nothing was standing tall like it once was.

I kept an eye out for any of the invaders that may still be lingering, and made my way to the storage room. It was eerie walking amongst the ghost-town of a village, seeing the spirits of all those that were slain in the carnage. I never liked seeing them. I don't know why I am able to see them. But now I was more afraid of becoming one of them, than talking to them.

One of them had noticed that I posessed this ability, and walked up to me. Well, more like floated towards me as they didn't have any legs. I asked them if any of the invaders lingered nearby, and the reply came as a weak shake of their head. Relieved, I continued to make my way towards the storage.

When I made it there, the hatch down was blocked by the watch-tower. It took awile to move the rubble out of the way, but it was worth it. All of the villagers that managed to get into the storage were still alive, and very scared. So scared, they were ready for a fight.

It was no wonder I got a spear through my chest once I opened the hatch.
I hated having to work with others, now I hate my own neighbours.
