Really painful gameplay and grindy mechanics, The Forest does all of this better without having to need to check for parasites on your arm every 2 minutes

Tried the game again after all the updates and it is super grindy now. You will start with terrible equipment, and the game expects you to sink countless hours to upgrade them if you want them to actually work.

As someone who enjoyed the first game, not recommended.

- Extremely boring, linear and repetitive
- Zero world building, entire "story" is carried through notes left by dead people
- Terrible AI, mutants just attack you on sight
- Building/crafting sucks, nothing interesting to build and just attracts hordes of mutants making it pointless
- Inventory management sucks, good luck finding anything you need
- Save system sucks, you better keep making shoddy tents everywhere

There was single cut scene in the entire game where a fat guy randomly appeared and shot a glob mutant, who knows why because the game sure as ♥♥♥♥ doesn't explain. This encapsulates the entire experience pretty well.

Game felt very clunky, needs work on basic mechanics. Will give it another try when released. Hope the finished game is self-explanatory without needing a 10 minute video on YouTube just to start playing.

Not an open world RPG, choices don't matter. Run and gun simulator 10/10

Boring, really boring game. Nothing interesting left to explore after the first 2-3 hours. Enjoy fishing for scraps to build for hours on end.

For an action game is sure is linear and boring

Terrible game

Purchase Bioshock Infinite if you want a linear shooter, or get Minecraft if you want to build settlements. But don't waste your money on Fallout 4, especially at this price. All the RPG elements from previous games have been dumbed down, and the Karma system has been scrapped.

Tragic end for the Fallout series, which has become a running and shooting simulator.
