Great game, the SCP inspiration is fantastic, while still keeping its own identity. Story has got just the right amount of mystery and weirdness to it.
The brutalist architecture is gorgeous.
I'm eager to see Control II now

Just when you thought you couldn't get faster, the game gives you a speed upgrade. 100% would play again.

(seriously, the amont of movement tech in this game is crazy yet it's never clunky)

Great dlc, it's basically more Elden Ring, so same strong points, same issues. I think i liked the map of the base game a bit more, but both are great. This DLC has so really good areas (the forest one for instance), and some place are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dense, filled with secrets, so it's great to explore.

Great weapons, armours, spells, etc, a lot of variety is introduced, and it's good.

I did had more frustration in the DLC than in base game because of some ennemies that i really struggled against (git gud i guess). I also think the new upgrade system (scadutree blessing) is a bit flawed. It's great that it rewards exploration, but i think it would have been better if they were a bit more hidden, so that you actually have to explore and not just follow high roads, but in order to not be too challenging to get to lvl 20, give more than the player needs (while locking the max lvl to 20)

Final boss is awful tho, really not fun, disapointing reveal (imho). A random player i summoned pretty much solo'd it and considering the lazy ending, i'm not gonna regret that. Maybe it's just my casual player ass who got handed by the game, but it's the only moment in the whole experience of Elden Ring where i really didn't have a single bit of fun. (and i beat the foreskin brothers).

Good dlc if you liked base game overall, it is more challenging than base game, for good and bad reason i guess, but very solid addition to ER.

Now make ER2 but give us a place where NPCs dialogues are written so that quest don't require you to use guides.

Selaco is a awesome game
Like seriously, it's one of the most fun shooter i've played since a long time, and i've played a lot of shooter
In the midst of hundreds of indie shooter that have been popping recently, especially since Dusk release which kinda started the whole boomer shooter trend, Selaco stands a part from that. There's undeniably a lot of retro shooter inspiration, after all the game runs on GZDoom, the modern recreation of the OG Doom engine, but calling Selaco a Doom like would be insulting its depth. The game is much more than Doom, mostly because it's much more tactical. You can't just run with a super shotgun and blast everyone on your way, the ennemies are redoutable and will outsmart you if you are not careful. The AI is really impressive, and use various tool to make your life more complicated.
YOu get to use a lot of weapons and tools against them, and each of them can be upgraded or modified to your taste. You also have to use your environment, to find cover, explode some barrels, make a smoke screen out of a fire extinguisher etc etc ...
In Selaco you need to be smart and brutal.
You also get to enjoy a deeply detailled world, with a lot of interactivity, pushing way beyond GZDoom limits.
It's crazy how many particules can fly when you start blasting.

This review might sound biased, and it is, i've been a patreon backer for a while, and i got to chat with the devs a lot, and it's obvious how passionate they are about this project. A lot of talent and work has been put into the game, and it would be a shame to miss out.
You might also be concerned about the EA release, but it's not your typical early access release. The game so far consist in the first chapter which is a full game on its own, i'm serious. Chapter 2 and 3 will be released for free, and the game will be 1.0 when chapter 3 release.
So really, give SElaco a try, it's fantastic.

EDIT : Big ass update play the game
