I played through the whole game and finished pretty much all of the content. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't recommend it either. The dialogue is so cringy that it's honestly hard to keep playing. The story is fine, but it also ruins a lot of established lore. The gameplay is fun but it is not strategic or tactical at all, so in comparison to other DA games, it's not good. Overall, just not a very good game.

Right now, can't recommend. This game crashes constantly for me. Pretty much any time I try to restart a challenge, the game crashes to desktop. It also feels like the graphics are actually a step down from the first game. I'm playing with an RTX 3080 and ray tracing on high. I'm still in the first act of the game, but because it starts in winter, it is an incredibly boring and grey setting that doesn't utilize ray tracing well. I think it will be a fun game at some point, but right now I'm just annoyed with it.

I 100% finished the main story and all of the DLC in 44 hours. Pretty fun game, but not a lot of content.

Overall, this is probably the most fun I've had with a game in a long time. That isn't to say it has no flaws.
Pros:
gameplay is awesome and challenging
unique art and graphics
TONS of stuff to do
you will absolutely get your money's worth in content

Cons:
There are some seriously annoying connection issues with multiplayer
The entire multiplayer system is unnecessarily complicated and cumbersome
Still some bugs in gameplay and random laggy spots, but nothing game breaking

Took me about 8 hours to beat the story. Not bad, but its a huge file for not a whole lot of game play. I got it on sale for around $5 so definitely worth the price. I wouldn't recommend buying it for full price though. Wait for a sale.

I was slightly skeptical because I wasn't a huge fan of the pre-sequel, but so far I think this is going to be the best Borderlands yet. I'm only 3 hours in, but there have been a lot of laugh out loud moments so far and the story is a lot more coherent.


EDIT: I like the motivation that the trash characters and mini-bosses get. They never really had any reason for how they acted before (and why they all dress the same). I like that they added something to them. The main villains are annoying, but that kind of makes me want to kill them? So, as of right now, I'll let that slide.

As pretty much everyone has said, there are a lot of plot holes. You have to suspend a lot of disbelief for the story, but it still makes sense despite the silly plot holes.

The gameplay is amazing and the side quests are great.

I wouldn't recommend any Borderlands game if you're looking for a super duper good plot tbh. The Pre-Sequel has the best plot, but the gameplay is by far my least favorite out of the franchise, which for me is the most important thing for these games.

I would recommend this game based on the game play and silly humor for sure.
